When first purchasing this monitor roughly a year ago it was quite an investment. I would fully expect an LG monitor to last as long as the other LG products I own. Currently there is a dead pixel line across the bottom of my display where it seems to have just gone out. I am disappointed in the quality of the monitor after using it so little.

I got this thinking about flight simulation, arcade type, War Thunder... occasionally X-Plane... I play also Civilization VI. For those games... it is a SICK monitor. Come Cities Skylines type of game. Terrible. I wish I had put down a bit extra and had gotten a higher resolution capable monitor. Even in Windows, image is NOT crisp. You can almost see the pixeling in the fonts... as I type this, for example. So, depending what kind of games and applications you use this MAY be the best monitor you can buy for the money. I regret a bit having it because I did not think CS would suck so much on the maximal resolution and aspect ration this monitor can give.

The monitor came in perfect condition, no dead pixels or issues with this display. It is 2560x1080, 5ms, 144hz, IPS, 34" ultrawide. This is the best value for money ultrawide on the market. If you want a great monitor for high refresh rate gaming, productivity, and color accuracy, this is the one for you.

I bought this new in September 2019 and after only 6 months of use it has developed permanent vertical and horizontal lines. Super disappointing especially given how much this monitor costs.

After using this monitor for about 2 months now, my only complaint would be backlight bleed and lack of ability to change picture settings. The monitor performs great, looks great, and the ultrawide is a great setup. Definitely recommend this monitor for an entry level ultrawide gaming monitor that doesn’t cost a fortune.

Amazing color reproduction with high brightness. I bought the 1080p for gaming at high FPS to make use of the 144/166 Hz refresh rates. Enough screen space to multi-task as well. Youtube and other 16:9 videos gets cropped out sadly. Regardless, this is an excellent monitor. Thanks Adorama for selling it cheaper than the competition!

All around a great product, love the refresh rate and g-sync is amazing. My one and only issue is a small color defect on the left side, it's slightly more yellow than the right. Cannot be noticed while gaming, and is only visible on a bright white screen, such as surfing web pages etc.

I've always wanted a monitor like this. It really is a fantastic monitor. I was researching various units and found that it had very good reviews.

The picture is spectacular, with a refresh rate that makes work, videos, and gaming all easier to do. Having multiple applications open for work on this larger monitor has made me more productive. The quality of images in videos and gaming is excellent.

I will admit that I didn't do a ton of research, but I needed an upgrade from my dual monitor setup. I read some reviews online and found this monitor recommended pretty widely, but the price was high. When I found it on sale for just over $600 I grabbed it and have never looked back. I've heard criticism of the "mere" 2560x1080 resolution, but it looks beautiful. The curve is subtle, but the perfect enhancement for gaming, and pretty necessary for any monitor this wide. It has improved my workspace and my gaming experience more than I can say. The monitor arrived in perfect condition, and I can't find a dead pixel anywhere (another review nag I'd heard. So mine might not be the deepest review, but if you're coming from a similar scenario, you will NOT regret this purchase. I took for granted how much my screen was inhibiting my experience. It is a bigger improvement than I had anticipated. The G-Sync feature is making a marked improvement even with my 8-year-old rig and upgraded GTX 1060.

Looks great, deep color. But I have a black horizontal line going across 3/4 of screen at 5 months. For most expensive monitor I ever bought, I'm disappointed it doesn't last.

Really satisfied with this monitor except for the fact that my monitor experiences major ghosting/trailing. It has great settings, and looks beautiful in games. But my panelikely defective. Will update after sending in for repairs

This has a great picture and very good response time. The screen tilts, but doesn't rise or lower. My biggest fault is that the screen shakes with any movement.

First off I want to cover the issue people talk about with the response time of a 5ms GTG, for me even playing FPS I have zero problems getting the most enjoyment out of my games. With everything rocking ultra setting and 21:9 resolution the monitor just crushes it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great gaming experience

The 21:9 aspect ratio, the 144hz and gsyc are amazing. I can't get enough. My biggest gripe is that my unit showed up here with a dead pixel and I have not heard back from LG about what to do next. I spent $700 on this monster and it has a dead pixel to get no help with this issue. This may be the last LG prodeuct I purchase due to the lack of support. I have an LG G6 phone that prettyuch sucked too and was hoping to see better with this purchase.

I like the wider screen view, don't see any benifit from a curved screen though. The draw back that i experience is that the display is stretched to the point of distortion when in full screen mode, it deceives perspective view.

Haven't been this happy with a purchase for a long time. Everything a company should be with worry free products. No dead pixels and no other problems what so ever. 5 stars for this one.

Never owned an ultrawide display before and was worried about compatability, but haven't had any issues and everything looks GREAT! I have this at home and now I want one at work! I never knew what I was missing! Quality = Hands down amazing! All my LG appliances are extremely reliable! Just plug them in and use them till technology advances past their point of relevancy; I'm talkin YEARS to DECADES without issues! .... and this one appears to be no exception!

I always stayed away from non-TN panels because I thought they wouldn't offer the performance I wanted. This monitor delivers in both departments. Use the black stabilizer in games, like Destiny 2, PUBG, Fortnite or Gears of War 4. You will love it. The colors look great and the high refresh rate is amazing!

With GSync, 144Hz refresh, lots of ergo adjustments available, and presets that actually look good, this one runs circles around any other ultrawide I’ve looked at. If I have to have a complaint, it’s that I wish they didn’t use the red trim, but since it’s all in the back it won’t be noticed. Probably the best compliment I can offer is that I already have a number of gaming friends that now want this one, as well.

Bought and return the same date. HDMI 1.4 and Display port 1.2 are you kidding me. I understand DP 1.2 but HDMI 1.4 is old and out dated. Should be min. HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2

I’m a proud PC gamer and I purchased the 34” LG 34UC89G-B for its gaming prowess, IPS panel, Gsync support and 2560x1080 resolution which I prefer for games. I’m very happy with it and was pleasantly surprised at the quality for a very reasonable price. I’ve been using the monitor about a month now. I have it paired with an Nvidia GTX 1080 TI using Gsync in all my games. The IPS panel on this monitor is beautiful, giving me great colors with no noticeable light bleed or dead pixels. As far as light-bleed goes, LG seems to have nailed it with this IPS panel. Of course, if I set completely black screen I can see a tiny bit of light at the edges but all LCD monitors have this to some extent and many are much worse. In gaming, working, web surfing I never notice any light bleed or discoloration. I have set the monitor refresh rate to 144hz but I use Gsync in games so refresh rate varies depending on framerate which works great and is really smooth down to the high 30’s fps where the Gysnc module stops varying refresh by design. Also, there is no noticeable motion blur when playing games even with Gsync on or at any framerate. I know the monitor may overclock to 160hz but I see no reason to do this so I haven’t tried it. The monitor has a little white joystick on the bottom of the panel for accessing the settings menu and it’s the best joystick/settings combo I’ve used in a monitor. I set the colors to the high 60’s, the brightness/contrast to the mid 50’s and then used Calibrize free utility to help me with a color calibration profile. There are many options in the settings and also gaming oriented settings; however, I just keep the gaming settings such as overdrive, gamma, etc at default as I think the monitor works great as it is but will have to play with them in the future. I really like the 2560x1080 21:9 ultra-wide resolution this monitor offers because it gives me higher frame rates with ultra-quality settings in games as opposed to lower FPS using higher ultra-wide resolutions (which can double the pixel count at the least) and I hope LG continues to support 2560x1080 in gaming monitors. It’s much easier for me to keep FPS in the high 80’s – 130’s in my games which I really like. The 1080p also means I am not as stressed to replace my GPU as often to keep games at High/Ultra details. Also, Dynamic Super resolution; which GeForce experience can set for you, is much easier on the GPU when calculated from this resolution as opposed to a higher native resolution. The ultra-wide gaming experience is awesome and most new titles support the resolution natively with correct aspect FOV; however, older titles may need mods or tweaks to get resolution support and/or correct aspect FOV, google searches will usually find them. However, if an older title is stubborn with ultra-wide support, you can still turn scaling off in Nvidia drivers and play the game in 16:9 with black bars on the side. The curve on this monitor is very comfortable and doesn’t seem exaggerated at all. The response time is very quick and I don’t notice any lag even in high FPS games like Call of Duty or Battlefield. The monitor was easy to assemble (attach the stand & cable guide) and is fairly light-weight for its size and doesn’t generate lots of heat. The bezels on the side are very thin which is a nice touch. The monitor can adjust vertical, swivel, angle and tilt very easily. I did have to provide a longer Display Port cable as the one provided would not reach my PC which is down on the floor to the side of my desk. The monitor is also a great experience for work and web surfing. The higher pixel pitch makes fonts easy to see and colors look great. As a software developer, I like being able to have my Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio in ultra-wide so I can see my code easily and also have other tabs open on the sides. I love this monitor as it is great for gaming, is a curved ultra-wide, supports Gsync, has a high-quality IPS panel and the 2560x1080 resolution is also less stressful on my GPU.

I have had my eye on this monitor for weeks now and I finally dropped the cash on one (Not lucky enough to be one of the YouTubers who got given them! and I am so happy that I did. The only worry I had with this monitor was the resolution but I comfortably can say that it isn't an issue. I even sold my 4K LG27UD88-W to put towards this so it was a big drop in resolution. This display is clean looking, colourful and fast. I had never experienced ultrawide, G-Sync or a refresh rate faster than...
