Will charge two batteries, but only one at a time. I knew this when I bought it. But wanted the additional charger for back up. A good item and the price was very reasonable.

I bought this thinking it would be more compact and more convenient than two of the single-battery chargers. However, it has the bulk of about EIGHT of the model CB-5L! Furthermore, when you insert two batteries, it doesn't begin to charge the second until the first is completely charged and it is more than twice the price of the CB-5L charger.

You can put both batteries in charger and go about your day, without worrying when to change batteries...when their done, their done. I'm not babysitting a charger.

This does not charge 2 batteries at the same time. Even tho there's nothing specific that says it does or does not, you need to read Canon's fact sheet on the charger, real careful. Why would you design something to hold and charge 2 batteries and NOT have it charge them at the same time??? Canon's response to me was "so you could charge 2 batteries without having to swap them out"

Even though I like this product, it would have been a lot better if the charger charged both batteries at the same time. This only adds convenience in the fact that it will charge one battery and then the next without having to monitor and change batteries with a single charger. I would save your money and just use the single charger.
