Purchased with the understanding that it had built-in internal speakers (per the info on the LG website). Upon receiving I realized that it did not, so returned the item. Unfortunately, LG received the item almost a month ago but has neglected to credit my credit card and/or return my LG Rewards Points (it was purchased with a combination of both). So now I have neither a monitor nor my funds. That I am not happy with LG's Customer Service (or lack thereof) would be a massive understatement.

I purchased this monitor as I was under the impression that it had built-in speakers (the online spec sheet indicates: "Speaker: Yes" but, unfortunately, as I discovered when setting it up, it does not.

I am very happy with this monitor. I had to call support a few times to get it set up, but it now works very nicely.

I traded up from a set of Asus monitors 27" & 24" 1080p 60hz TN monitor for a set of these 27" & 24" 4k 60hz IPS LG monitors to go from a GTX 1060 to an RTX 2080 video card. My newest most demanding PC game is Witcher 3 and I use to get 54FPS with some of the setting set lower but get a solid 60FPS with everything turned up max, even the hair settings on. The IPS colors are way better and the detail amazing. I went with the 4k 60hz instead of 1440p 144hz because I play mostly RPGs type stuff and no shooters. No regrets, AWESOMENSS!

So pleased with my first purchase of the 27UD58-B that I purchased a second for use in my music studio. A bright and clear picture that presents clarity of small icon buttons is essential in digital workstations. This is a perfect choice x2.

I use it for a general purpose display, internet and some photo editing, not gaming. I wanted a 27" 4K to enable larger, sharper text. I turned the brightness way down, 10-20% even in a room with daylight. This model isn't the newest with the latest features, but does all that I need. Bought from MicroCenter on sale.

I bought this monitor on sale. At that price, it is absolutely unbeatable! The colors on this thing are fantastic, blacks are extremely deep even for an IPS panel. The icing on the cake is the resolution and freesync support, with an extended range of nearly 30 fps, it is perfect for 4k gaming. The construction is great, mostly plastic but it is extremely sturdy. There are hints of backlight bleed on the edges, but very very tiny and unnoticeable unless you were looking for it, apart from that though I can't speak a negative word about this screen!

Have had this monitor for nearly a month and it's perfect for my needs, perhaps even exceeds them. I am not a gamer, so I can't speak to anything along those lines, but I did want and need a monitor of clarity and sharpness of image as I no longer possess the 20/20 eye sight I once had. Very pleased indeed, excellent quality at a reasonable price.

-good build quality and overall aesthetic. great color reproduction and resolution. good price for its value. -produce fair amount of heat on the screen with high brightness. overall screen brightness is just average. consider this if you re going to use it in a well lit environment. -unless you have a beefy computer that can drive any video games at 4K 60fps+ buying this monitor solely for playing games is not recommended because tearing is more pronounced on a 27inch 60hz display. turn down resolution to Full HD is not good either since its not native resolution of the monitor and will be visibly worse looking than a native 1080p display.

I wanted (not needed a 27” 4K monitor to go with my new HP ENVY desktop computer. My computer is equipped with a AMD Radeon RX550 2gb? Video card and 12gb RAM. From my research I knew I wanted a IPS (versus TN) monitor & 60hz. I do not use my computer to play games. I do some light photo editing. I have used this monitor for about 1 month. I connected the monitor to the Display port on my video card. Now for my opinion. I agree with other reviews. This is a great monitor for the price. Colors are rich and clear. However, the brightness was rated at 250 cd/m2 brightness which is less than a more expensive monitor. The monitor is probably fast enough for slow moving games, but I bought it for office type of work. Be forewarned, at 100% the brightness setting is too much. I found the ideal setting to be about 30%. Also when you open a window that is largely a white background, you may want to turn down the bright setting further or wear sunglasses. So far no burned pixels. Again this is not likely a gaming monitor or high end monitor for serious photo/ video editing. This is my first 4K 27” monitor. I also think 27” is the sweet spot for 4K. Anything larger, e.g 32” you may run into lower resolution. Anything 25” and smaller I was stick with HD monitor. One last item - the base is not adjustable up/down.

I always wanted to get a 4k monitor since I got my GTX 1080. Being able to push that many pixels and owning only a 1080p, I decided it was time for my GPU to flex its muscles and here comes the 27UD58-B monitor. A lot of debates between VA, TN, IPS panels out there... fortunately this monitor is everything that I wanted. IPS panel, 27" diagonal, 4k display, great price and LG branded! I have been playing a few games like Sniper Elite 4, Batman Origine and Dark Souls 3... the graphics are gorgeous and the 60Hz refresh rate is keeping up so I'm happy. So far so good, I should have bought 3 to have a more immersive experience but I don't have the real estate to do so. I recommend this monitor if you are on a budget.

This is a great monitor. Moving up to this from a 22" monitor has been great. I do a lot of video editing and motion graphics work that requires lots of tool panels and timelines, etc. all on screen at the same time. This monitor has plenty of space for everything. Setup could not have been easier!

Monitor splash screen on start up is ridiculously small ! It is barely readable and I need magnifying glass to read it. Maximum increase font size says 350% which makes it just fine for me but it won't increase anymore in size. Other than that it is a super monitor I use for video editing. I purchased LG 32" monitor but didn't like fuzzy pixels so returned it to Fry's and tried out this smaller size and love the sharpness.

I can't get the monitor to work with my new MS surface computer and docking station - all I get is a black screen. I see from online research that others have had the same problem. I have verified the MS Surface and docking station work with other monitors. I haven't yet run down the cause of the problem.

I have been completely satisfied with my monitor. I don't game, but with this monitor it is possible if I upgrade my PC. I use it primarily for my daily work as a solutions architect and occaissional coding. It allows be to put a great deal more information on the screen at one time. I also use it for photo editing where it is a huge improvement over my old HD monitor. I was able to obtain a much better brightness calibration. The monitor display is crisp and the color gamut excellent for a monitor at this price point. I did a lot of shopping around before purchasing, and really believe that you would need to spend almost twice as much to get a significantly better monitor.

Good dynamic range, this is 10 bit color. 4k at 60 hz. I highly recommend using a Vesa arm mount, the stand that comes with monitor does not have height adjustment.

Great 4K PC Monitor
By RaceGuy
I bought this LG Ultra HD 4K monitor to take full advantage of the higher-end NVIDIA GTX 1070 graphics card in my new Dell XPS desktop computer which I use for photo and video editing and viewing. The GTX 1070 card DisplayPort outputs video at a resolution of 3840X2160 at 60Hz and that is the setting I use for all of my computer work with my LG Ultra-4K monitor. At that Ultra-4K resolution level the LG 27UD58-B has outstanding color, very quick screen performance, and has never shown the le...
