If you are hearing impaired you need this product.

I have suffered from bi-lateral, profound hearing loss for years. Watching television was difficult at best and torture for others in the room due to the increased volume. This very affordable Sennheiser wireless TV listening system has enhanced not only my life but the rest of the household sings its praises. Thank you Adorama for not only offering this product but at a most affordable price.

Easy to use

Purchased this as an easy way for my daughter to listen to TV while I am in the same room. She enjoys her program and I don't have to listen to it. This is much easier for her to use than the Bluetooth hookup I purchased. All she has to do is take the lanyard from its nest, put it around her neck, turn on the unit, plug in her headphones, and listen to her program. There is no waiting for it to pair and connect. She loves the ease of use and I enjoy the quiet!

Strongly recommenced for telecoil hearing aide users.

The Sennheiser Set 840 S requires that the users hearing aides include a telecoil capability. The receiver includes a loop which goes around your neck to magnetically couple to the hearing aides and their audio compensation. It is very comfortable to use and the sound is great without having to wear clunky headphones. I sometimes put only one hearing mode in telecoil mode to enable the other one to hear my wife.

Pretty good via telecoil

I have a cochlear implant on one side and a hearing aid on the other - and I use the Sennheiser via telecoil. It does help with some dialog - I wish the sound quality was better... but I'm not sure if that is related to sennheiser, telecoil or hearing aid limitations. The unit was packaged very thoroughly and came with good instructions and needed connectors.

Terrific product

This is a great product for my husband who is hard of hearing, has Parkinson’s and recently had a stroke. He attaches to his sound canceling headphones. We love them. Have recommended to Parkinson’s support group.

Good , but not perfect.

I like it, but seem to be getting occasionally some interference in the form of static. I've tried all the channels. It's not that bad of an issue, but don't think it should happen as I have it set up correctly and the base in in direct site of the receiver. I live in an apartment, so it may be coming from another unit. I'd buy it again.

Not bad

It’s a life saver when my wife wants to watch TV late at night and I have to go to sleep. My wife complains about a buzzing sound but I guess is due to the transmitter or frequency.

Sennheiser RR840S are great!

I like the Sennheiser SET840S RF. I have profound high frequency hearing loss, and on top of that tinnitus. If other people are nearby talking, I can’t understand what’s coming out of my TV speakers, because all the sounds blend together. With the 840, I use my own earbuds, and the TV sounds are now isolated and I’m able to understand dialogue. I’ve had over the ear products including the Sennheiser RS180, I like them real well, but my ears start sweating. With the 840, I can use them all day, with no annoyance at all.

Works for my step dad with hearing aids

The Sennheiser SET840S is a RF stereo TV listening system and is especially suited for those who wear hearing aids. Easily connected to a TV, Hi-Fi system or radio, SET840S produces excellent sound, delivered directly to your ears. The sound is transmitted from the receiver to the hearing aid via wireless induction over the induction loop that is included in the scope of delivery. Alternatively, you can connect headphones or induction couplers to the lightweight clip-on receiver.
