I have had this monitor for a year. It has been in one place since purchase. A few months after purchase it started losing power occasionally. Now it's a battle to get it to turn on. The power in port does not function well and is getting trickier as I'm forced to spend more time trying to find the exact spot the cord needs to be in to make the monitor function. I should have tried to turn this back in on the warranty which has now expired, my own fault there, but this should not be an issue with such an expensive monitor. This is not the first product from LG I have had issues with and has required expensive repairs.

I love this monitor, great color, the speaker is ok I use it as a TV too. The only thing is the flashing power led makes it hard to fall asleep cause it's pretty distracting.

For 12 hours a day I work in Audio, Photo and Video Editing staring at a screen all day. The studio where I work has a slightly older model of the 34'' ultra-wide (34UM95-P). I fell in love with that display and decided that I would buy one for my home setup. So far this display has given me everything I expected from it. Sharp, great colors and the dual thunderbolt ports and extra USB ports are super helpful.

It took me several months to come across the right monitor for my day to day needs. I use excel and have to view multiple websites open at once to blog about fantasy football and setup my draft kings lineups. It does everything so well and makes it so easy to handle multiple tasks at once helping thefantasyfootballelite.com do the best that it can!

Such an awesome monitor. Spreadsheets and small text look great. I would not use anything less TBH. I had 1080p and letters/numbers were so pixelated. I am going through the warranty repair service now because this is no longer in stock at Buydig.com. Hopefully, it is a quick turn around. They will be sending a box to me to perform the repair.

I am so happy with this monitor. The select screen split feature is what sold me on LG. I use this feature all the time with my Mac. I can split the screen on one Mac page and then swipe over to another screen and open separate pages on each of them. The images are crisp and clean. I really like the option of using different inputs. I can actually connect a separate PC to one port and the Mac to another and use both computers with one monitor. The “but” is that the reason I sought this monitor out was to be able to use the Mac Lightening cable. I thought all USB-C connections were the same, but I haven’t been able to use the Lightening cable because the connect isn’t the same as in the other end at my Mac.

The monitor I have is not listed 34UB88-P. I bought this monitor because it looked like it had a lot of features I was looking for. But LG failed to give details on what version of HDCP the monitor supported. It just says HDCP Yes. That’s it. Don’t be so vague on your specifications. The manufacturer date of this thing is Sept 2018 how come no HDCP 2.2 support? So if you plan on playing 4K protected content. It’s not happening. Other than that it has a great picture.

Seriously cant think of any gripes or concerns with this monitor. It's amazing. The build and picture quality is awesome. First ultrawide and you could pay me to go back to 16:9. The features and input options simply checked all of the boxes for me.

Have only had the screen about a month but it has been great so far. Only time will tell whether I run into some of the issues other owners have had...hope not!

Works very well and am quite satisfied. Didn't come with lightening cable so had to purchase one separately to hook up to MacBook. USB ports are new type and therefore had to buy a separate port to attach to MacBook to sync phone and ipad Once all was set up, everything works well

This is the second LG monitor I purchased in the last month, as the first one didn't have the display port plug I decided on the 34UM88. Great decision to upgrade.

I like the monitor but the software is not loadable at startup . thus you get an annoying UAC(user account control message every time you start it and if you are not logged in as your administrator, you have to supply credentials in addition to the annoying UAC pop-up. You should redesign the software to run in background so you only need to make setting adjustments to the running app.

ive only had this for a few days, but it came very well packaged, safe and secure, set it up the next day and mounted it to the 100x100 vesa, screen looks great!!everything is very vivid,if ya have something to calibrate it i would do so,i used my spyder 5,makes the already good picture look even better.very surprised at how light weight this screen is,the vesa mount i have this on is rated for 27 in. displays,i love that lg made this so light that you can use pretty much any mount as long as it supports 100x100 and the mount dont protrude to much at each mount hole or it'll need raised 1/2 inch to clear the back monitor, picture attached to show you what i mean,i came from a Acer X34 that i had nothing but issues with,so,was looking to get it replaced sadly after dishing out all the cash for it,and i came across the HP 35 X Omen UW screen, just not enough reviews and lack of info, this LG screen had a good bit on amazon and newegg, and thou i use Nvidia cards,i overclocked this in its native res to 80 hertz and there is not a bit of ghosting of frame skipping, and productivity is great on this screen to,no BLB common of IPS,all pixels are good...i got exactly what i needed and wanted in a panel and ive used a side display beside mt X34 which was a LG 29um68 and i loved it for ease of use compared to most other monitors,LG's OSD is very easy to use and is very fast to get to where you wanna go in the menus to change anything fast, and good software now if you choose to use it.so,great panel!!i give it 8/10!!:)

The display is the same height as an iMac 27 inch at about 13 inches, but it is eight inches wider and that real estate makes everything so awesome. I can have two Word documents open side but side or two spread sheets and easily work with both. It eliminates the need to have two screens. I also use it with Capture One to edit my photos and while the main photo is not all that much bigger I have more room for my tools and previews. I would never buy anything other than a 21:9 monitor again. What I've said so far is true of any 21:9 monitor. This one has very nice resolution and overall good looks and the Thunderbolt port. The price right now is very nice. The only thing I'd change is the blue LED on the bottom front that blinks when the monitor is not receiving a signal. I took a lot of time deciding which 21:9 monitor to get and I have no regrets.

I do paid work on occasion and have a color calibrator, etc. So far it's been great for editing, especially panoramas, as well as for multitasking. Very little lag. Don't sit closer than 2.5 feet or you'll have to start moving your head.

Connected to MBP via thunderbolt. plug and play. USB on monitor connected to 1 USB 3 hub with external SSD drives and the other to 1 USB 2 hub with wacom tablet, keyboard, etc. No issues. minimal light bleed (very little at bottom two corners) and good viewing angles. Have not tried display port connection to test Freesync but thunderbolt refreshes at 60hz. No problems working with video. Overall very happy.
