I bought this less than a year ago thinking “why would I buy a $1000 Mac when Samsung is just as good” WRONG about two months into having this notebook it wouldn’t let me connect to any WiFi and I had to send it off to get fixed (thank god for the one year warranty) and it was working great for a few months but now yet again it won’t connect to the WiFi and if it does it’ll disconnect from it a few minutes later. I’m a college student I need something reliable and this isn’t it there’s been times I’ve had to do assignments through my phone (Apple) because this notebook is trash.

I bought mine on October 16, 2017, in July 2018 I had to send it in for repairs needing a new battery. Now today I was using my computer and it completely shut down. I have been charging and it will not charge. According to the warranty it expired on August 31, 2018 - no 1 year warranty. I use this computer for school and currently I have no way to access my school assignments.

I bought this one off eb its a very nice combo device for the price i got mine for its good for a miint used product i got the verzion one its works really good i havent really timed the battery life but if you put it on battery favor part on windows 10 i think you get about 11 hours maybe 12 just all depends what you using it for as for the settings you using and all that bc that's how they measure the battery so if you gonna use it heavy and at max proformance its gonna eat up the battery thats would be about 6 to 8 hours if you running it hard as for light use you can sqeeze about 10 or 11 just make sure your battery settings is at favors battery more and then thats how you get more battery out of it to get the max i can use mine good in my bed on my laptop with the keyboard cover with battery saver mode on im getting about 6 but its a used device so thats what i am getting i rpoably will get a new battery intalled on mine soon to help it but as for all the featurees this offers its worth but not worth the high price tag look online for a used one and you will get a good deal

Major issue is Windows 10 is not Android App Compatible. The reason for the purchase was to replace an older smaller screen Samsung tablet. So basically, apps I use for controlling many items can't be used with Windows 10. Without the apps, it's not as useful as a tablet. Keyboard cover leaves a little to be desired (to flimsy).

I bought this to replace an older Surface Pro. I agree the design on the cover could be a little better, sometimes when I am opening the cover it pops off the connection, but there is nothing wrong with it, I believe like anything new you have to learn how to use something properly and once you do most of these "issues" go away. I love the magnetic part on the back that helps it from sliding as some cases have a tendency to do when you try to fold and position them. The computer is fast and love that the keyboard and stylus comes with it for the price. I had a choice between getting a new surface pro or the Galaxy, and the price is what finally decided for me. Surface Pro is way over priced.

I was really excited to get this product. I loved that it came with the pen and the keyboard right in the box. I also loved the use of Windows 10 for my computer needs. On the tablet side I haven't been as happy. While yes, you can write on the screen and pull back the keyboard, the Windows store was not all that great with the apps and games. I figured I would be able to access many of the games that are on my Galaxy Phone and that wasn't true. Then, I was trying to download some PC games, couldn't do that either. So now I have a Galaxy Phone, Watch, Tablet, and Computer so that I could suit all of my needs. I just wish the Galaxy Book had the integration of a true Galaxy Tablet as well.

When conducting my research on this product, I only reviewed the low ratings. After reviewing the negative remarks and realizing none were considered deal breakers I decided to purchase. Once I received the Galaxy Book I can tell you it exceeded my expectations and then some! I mostly use if for taking notes, checking emails, and creating spreadsheets while volunteering at a none for profit organization. Its compact, easy to use, and have the feel of a true laptop. Only wish I could down load my Texture subscription on it! :-

I bought this product for 2 reasons. 1 I wanted to reward myself for my promotion and, have been in desperate need of a decent computer for a long time. 2- My work does not have a computer system setup yet (new construction. This has been the absolute BEST purchase decision i have made. I have not utilized it that much for personal use just yet as I am using it on a daily bases, 11 hours a day to get my property setup and running. This machine is soo versatile and, can for see it taking away my pen and paper habit (usually a notepad kind of person, never really caught on tothe pen, even with my note8). However, with this machines functionality, I can totally see being dependent on this, especially since I have it with my Verizon service. Runs flawlessly, as other mentioned, battery life is so-so. Probably would be better if I spent a little more time setting it up and customizing it. However, that said, I have been using it straight out of the box with factory setting since purchase. Great product, even though it is a little on the expensive end and, you can purchase an apple for the same price, the price and performance is definitely justified, especially from such a compact machine. You definitely get what you pay for.

I love this laptop!I bought the Samsung galaxy when they first came out awhile back and loved it.But only thing I was waiting for them to come out with an affordable windows version and they did .I love the keyboard and s pen as well as the design with it being lightweight.I don't want to feel like I'm carrying a brick around lol.So all in all a great job Samsung,you def don't disappoint !!!

Works amazing! I used to carry my 4+ year old laptop to do "computer stuff" and I carried my tablet to write on (since I'm a math major I like to have my notes online). With the Galaxy Book, it's all I need. The screen + pen writes beautifully. My only complaint is the RAM on this. This is more of a tablet that turned into a laptop so I guess the low RAM is understandable. If I use way too many things at once I can differently hear the fan whirling.

I have had this pc for about six months and I put my desktop in the closet. It is tablet sized but does everything a laptop can. I take it to meetings, conduct presentations and just about everything with it. The battery life is okay, but because it uses the same charger as my phone I never really have to worry about having a charger handy. This is one of the best products that I have purchased.

I am BEYOND angry with this. The ridiculous design of the flipfolio collapsed in on itself and smashed my screen and samsung will not do anything!!! On top of it the tip of the pen broke on the first use. Absolutely garbage! So so angry and will never buy another samsung product as long as I live!!!!!!

So I have even asked some of the well know reviewers why they don't talk about this PC. But they say they only got the 12 inch one. What's different about this 10.6 model is it's they only over that can use a power bank and actually charge to fill while using it. It's truly the best travel product I have every bought.

The keyboard is much over rated read the reviews found online. It is a sturdy keyboard they really enables easy use of the device. My biggest regret purchasing this device was that I did not purchase it sooner. While the device does get a bit hot, it is not a huge concern. Overall this is an exceptional device and I would not hesitate to purchase it if you are looking into buying one.

Bought this tablet in February of 2018 and it is a wonderful tablet and deserves 5 stars. However, I have to dock Samsung points for not supporting their own device. I lost my charger at a hotel and thought it wouldn't be a big deal because I have a Galaxy Note 8 which also uses a USB C Charger. I was wrong :( The device charges with my note 8 phone charger ONLY if i'm not doing anything that requires a lot of power utilization from the tablet (such as playing SecondLife) Otherwise it will discharge while plugged in. Thought I'd just hop on here and buy a new charger for it.. NOPE! If you go to the Galaxy Book Accessories the only thing they have in the way of charging is the USB C cable, whatever good that does without the proper wall adapter. So I called the sales dept and the end conclusion was either try to find a 3rd party who sells it or buy the same USB C charger that I already have for my phone, which I know already won't work...But I digress, This is a wonderful tablet and you will not regret buying it.. JUST DON'T LOSE THE CHARGER!!

I've been using the 8gb/256gb model for several months now. It is much better than my former Surface Pro 4 (other than no kickstand). Wacom EMR technology is to die for whether you are an artist or serious note taker. Easily drives two of Samsung SH850 WQHD monitors, but does not support daisychaining - you have to use up both your ports. It really needs a refresh to 8th gen four core i5, with Thunderbolt 3 support for good docking solutions. It also needs a software bump to permit the AMOLED screen to shut off when docked to external monitors to prevent screen burn in. It's probably too late for the 2018 version, but it should include a small S-pen in a silo, for "always with you" convenience like the Notebook 9, with the better full size pen as an extra cost option.

I have used this computer for two months and find it a great computer to use when away from my office. I wanted a small, light device to use at scores of meetings at various locations. I tried an iPad as a replacement for an aging laptop, It proved woefully under-powered and incapable of much more than reading mail and running One Note. This Galaxy Book has proven ideal for my portable computing needs. It runs Office applications effortlessly. It has no problem with specialty applications like Bizagi business modelling software. The old MS mapping applications, Streets & Trips (US) and Autoroute (Europe) run with no delays. AND because the Galaxy Book has cellular capability, I am online when no Wi-Fi is available. Surface cannot do that!

Battery is lasting 2 to maximum 3 hours. During the update or download, battery is still leaking although device is connected with charger to the power supply. Very week USB-C slots causing on each Book 12 movement that connected external device (drive loosing connection. Poor performances of S-Pen. I used the USB C adapter provided by Samsung to connect my USB hard drives. Nothing happens when I connect any flash drive to Portable HDD drive. So no I can't read any of my USB hard drives. I have to continue using my old PC. Searching th einternet I couldn't find any solution to my problem. My recommendation, wait until USB Type C connections are reliable and by a laptop with traditional USB connectors, Avoid the Galaxy Book if you have many USB drives.

This is a solid tablet. The build quality is excellent. The unusually small size is still quite functional as a laptop. It performs better than I expected. The screen looks great. The battery lasts a long time. Windows 10 works as well as a laptop as it does as a tablet operating system, and Samsung's enhancements are high-quality and well thought out. The keyboard cover seems ingenious, but I did not see a place to stow the S-Pen. I bought a cheap USB-C hub for keyboard, mouse, video and power. It did not keep the computer charged, so I had to buy the Samsung-branded USB-C hub for it. It works great now.

Purchased device on 2/7/18 and received a week later. As of 3/11/18 it is not working because it won't properly load Microsoft and getting blue screen of death. I tried doing the suggested troubleshooting and still won't work. I specifically purchased directly from Samsung and also paid for the 2 year extended warranty to avoid hassles should the device star having issues. Was told that my only option is to send it in for repairs and will be without device for 11 days. If not able fix then will send me replacement device. Why do I have to deal with this runaround? What is the point of buying the extended care? This will be my last Samsung purchase.

In theory, it’s a great piece of technology, but I said I wanted a lap top for a reason. The tablet part is constantly slipping out of the very poorly thought out detachable keyboard. Also, the tablet is heavy, that I can never keep it upright if I am not on a stable surface. So it can’t be with me on the couch or on the bed, which is where I am usually on a computer. Lastly, there are only pouches. I was desperate for a hard case because the darn thing falls out or slips out tumbles down etc. I just can’t stand it

I have used the Samsung Note 10 2014 for years now. I've never really seen anything that I want to replace it with. Then I saw the Samsung Galaxy Book. For the price, I thought I could give it a try. And I'm very glad I did. It replaces the Note and adds Windows which makes it much mor compatible for my work. It's not a replacement for the laptop but a great small tool to carry around for meetings and quick work.
