Adventure 9 my favorite choice

I use my Adventure 9 daily I go to college part time and this is the only bag I normally carry. I like that I can carry my laptop, camera, flash and all the little bits we all use, batteries cables and such. I know this bag is tough, I recently crashed on my motorcycle with this pack on, I hit the ground pretty hard and so did the pack, Everything inside was protected with no damage the only damage was the bottom corner was ripped, but I'm still using it and this after two years of daily use. I'm still using it. But I'm replacing it with a new adventure 9 I've looked at all the other bags out there and even considered a normal camera bag. but for convenience it is nice to pack the night before a job or class and just go, I do get a lot of surprised looks when people find out I can shoot photos, write articles and upload them the internet and be able to do it all from one bag. One thing I recommend I do use the Strap Acessory System pouch up front for pens, a flashlight and a notepad, it makes it nicer than digging through the pack.

Great Bag

This bag is awesome! It is made very well so I think it will last a very long time. It was important to me to have a bag that would protect my camera gear and provide a place for my laptop. This bag does both. The lower compartment holds my camera and gear securely, and the upper compartment holds the computer charger and other miscellaneous small things. Plus, it is just the right size for traveling.

Solid Product - Could be GREAT...

I am back into shooting lots of pics on my travels. Normally I travel with laptop, some office work and DSLR this bag is the best I could find after comparing similar offering from LowePRO and Bogen. My only complain is that room for other briefcase stuff like papers, note books, and files is VERY LIMITED. The backpack REALLY needs some organizer type pockets in the upper compartment and flaps.

Excellent Pack for Travel

I am a serious birder/natural history and photography buff who travels as much as I can pursuing this passion. This pack is primarily used as a travel (carry-on) bag. It is TSA/Customs friendly (They can easily get to my gear when they want to admire it) and easily fits in an overhead compartment and makes getting through airports, hotels, etc. easy. The bottom part of the pack accommodates my Canon 30D with its 17-85 zoom, 100-400 4.5/5.6 zoom, full sized 7 X 42 binoculars, camera battery charger, I-Pod with charger, and sunglasses in a hard case. I use the computer compartment for field guides, travel books, and travel documents. Alternatively, my 15 inch Dell laptop with its charger fits. I use the top compartment for for snacks, a light jacket, and miscellaneous stuff I carry on. Fully loaded with the above gear the pack weighs 25 lbs. If used with the laptop its 30 lbs. This is not a pack for all-day field use. When I travel I pack a light weight day pack in my checked baggage for use in the field. In the field I'm wearing the binos and generally have the 30D outfitted with the telephoto ready to shoot the next bird or animal that presents a great photo op. My main criticism of this pack is the design of the hip belt. It's more a strap than a belt. A well designed pack belt should have substantial support on the hips to transfer weight to your legs relieving the burden on your shoulders. Lowe Pro does a much better job at this given its background in hiking backpacks. In summary, its a great pack for travel, but not really designed for field use. It gets you where you need to go. Once you get there you need to travel light, so use a day pack.

It is a very good backpak for camera.

It is very easy to access to the camera, and every good protection to camera and computer.

Good case for traveling

Overall this bag works well. It provides a compact bag that holds a lot of equipment. It allows you to take your computer and camera equipment onto planes all in one bag. This is great as its one less bag of expensive equipment you have to worry about keeping track of while travelling. The only down side is that the laptop compartment needs to be sligthly wider for those of us with larger laptops. My laptop just squeezes into it. Other than that its great!
