This is the workhorse in my kit. I used it for everything from product still life to fashion and beauty to portraits.

Reliable reasonably priced workhorse

Quick focus and very sharp ! I have Sigma 35mm f1.4 but now with Sigma 24-105 f/4mm, it would be great couple lens in my backpack.

Quick focus and very sharp !

Hefty, but worth it! It balances esp. well w/my Nikon D780, but also plays nice with my old D7200. Build Q is amazing, better than G lenses.

A Beast, but Worth It

Works really well though a bit heavy and may be slightly more geared to landscapes than portraits.

Excellent choice

This lens is very sharp! I find that I still prefer my 70-200 over this one, because it has better blur. But this lens is very convenient, you can use it inside or outside. Great lens.

Good size and weight for handheld shots. Not as sharp as the 70-200 f2.8, but much easier to carry.

One HUGE note... this Adorama listing says the 24-105 is in the gorgeous ART series, it is not ... nonetheless it blows canon out of the water

This has worked perfectly for things that are close. The sigma lenses are much lighter in weight than others

perfect fit

Not a bad lens. Couple of things I don't like are the fact that it doesn't have a rubber gasket to seal it to the camera body and also the zoom rings turns the opposite direction from Nikon brand lenses. Not a big deal but muscle memory you know...

Everything I needed

I am thrilled with this lens! I was reluctant because of the f/4 maximum aperture, but since I've gotten it, I use it as my walk around lens. It has superb image quality. I use mine on an APS-C and enjoy the extra reach.

Wish I'd gotten it sooner

I’m very excited about this lens. I’m a Canon girl and recently bought my first full-frame camera. I went with this lens because of the reviews compared to the compatible Canon. So far it feels solid, focuses easy, and has a nice bokeh. Merry Christmas from me to me!

I purchased this lens to use with my Canon 7D Mark II. I had expected to by the comparable Canon L lens, but after reading the reviews, this seemed to be the better option. The lens is very well made and is clearly a quality product. AF is fast and extremely quite. The images are also razor sharp. This looks like a lens that will be my walk-around lens.

Have used this lens for several years. Very good images under many circumstances. Somewhat heavy and doesn't focus well in low light (to be expected.)

Versatile quality build and sharp images.

This lens has good online reviews for sharpness.  My experience with it so far is that it meets expectations.  An 18" X 24" enlargement with this lens and my full frame DSLR looks great.

Sigma 24-104mm f/4

Great lens for my Nikon full frame.  Have used the Sigma 18-200 on my crop sensor lenses.  Both lenses are quite sharp and highly recommended

Sigma 24-105mm Art series lens

I bought this lens to mate with a Nikon D750 as my first foray into full frame with "top notch' glass. Everything I read about this lens (including a rave review by a noted YT reviewer) said it was on par with its Nikon and Canon counterparts. I really wanted to like, even love, this lens, but after nearly 200 exposures, I just wasn't impressed. Built like a tank, this lens is obviously well put together, yet the images I got at 100% were soft at almost all focal lengths, and the CA was obvious. Know that this lens is heavy, big, and not fun to tote around. It and the D750 went back in favor of the Z6 and it 24-70mm f/4, and I couldn't be happier. I'm glad to see Sigma, Tamron, and the other third party lens makers are upping their game, but I'm not settling for "almost good" glass any longer. I always have to allow that I may have gotten a bad copy, but the weight and bulk of this lens stopped me from trying another. Keep trying Sigma.

Well built, but not up to par

Bought because Nikon ''kit'' lens was limited AND read test results of this lens also.   Glad I have it.

Heavy but sharp and versatile.....

clarity-excellend,picture-crisp,82 mm diameter is a big plus mostly for light transmission,autdoor pay attention this lens is not waterproof [not design for rainy day],hiper sonic motor delivers high speed focus with minimal noise,smooth zoom

must be in your arsenal

I like this lens very much because it  has a sharp focus. It is made solid and has autofocus & mnual mode. I use it with my Nikon D5600 & my full frame Nikon D750.

In my opinion it is an excellent lens that is adaptable to semi-pro and professional cameras.. It is one of my best lenses.

Good multi purpose lens

Love this lens.  It is my go to lens and the only non Canon Lens I own.  I traded my Canon 24-105 to get it and have not been disappointed.

Stellar lens

I have to admit that when I first tried the lens that I was disappointed.  But, I worked with the dock for over a week to hone in on the settings.  It was long work, tedious and very time consuming.  In the end, though, the results were more than worth all the effort I put in.  A lens that I had strongly considered returning turned out to be the lens I now consider my favorite for sharpness, contrast, clarity, and...well, everything.  It IS heavy, but very, very solid.  If you're looking for a razor-sharp lens and are willing to work to get that sharpness, this is the lens for you.  I combine mine with the Nikon D850, and what a pretty combo they are.  I've never gotten pictures close to what I'm getting now, and I go back to Hasselblads.  I got both at Adorama, and the good folks there have been an absolute  pleasure to deal with.

A GREAT Lens

Good glass and makes very nice, sharp images.  The lense is heavy so overall it feels a bit clunky but works well so I'm ok with that.  The zoom ring is tight but the action is precise and it does not drop out when I am carring it so that I like.

Nice images but a tad heavy

The lens is a good everyday carry lens. It's not the fastest but it is reasonably sharp and it's especially nice that you can fine-tune the lens with the Sigma dock.
