Use with Canon 40D and has always worked well. Don't take a lot of acton shops, so not shooting in large bursts. But, for candids and travel works great and uploads fast. Dependable - haven't had any problems.

These cards are great. I've had them for two years without any problems. Would love it if you could still get the "buy 6 and get $50 back" deal. I wish these weren't discontinued as they have really stood the test of time (and time in digital flies by very quickly).

I don't know if Extreme III is needed over more ordinary cards, but if i recall correctly, Adorama had a special on it, so why not? Maybe if I ever photograph in the Antarctic or other extreme environments, I'll be glad I have it instead of a more wimpy card.

Acquired these toys during a black friday deal couple years ago. Basically 3 for [$] and you got [$] back after mailing the rebate, basically you got them for free. we use them for photos, video, in-fact I was using them last night to shoot a preview. :) There are fast, even faster than some of the newer faster cards out there. Also used them with ML at higher bitrate quality and they survived but not highest quality(60-75Mbps+) for long periods.

I have been using 3 of these cards in my Canon 50D for over a year. I have had absolutely no problems with them. I always use SanDisk cards (I also have a 2g CF and an HDSC card for an XSi). I've never had a problem with any of them.

I use this for fast action and casual pictures. Writes and recovers quickly for taking additional pictures. A lot less wait time after taking a picture and having to wait for the camera to recover to take the next one.

I started using SanDisk when I had a Canon A95 point and shoot and still use those same cards years later in my Canon 7D. Of course I have added more cards with much more memory, but, what I am saying is that I have never had to discard an old card yet due to malfunction. They are fast, sharp and reliable and I wouldn't buy any other brand.

SanDisk Extreme cards are the best in industry. I am a pro user. Started with 1 GB Sandisk Extreme to use with Nikon D70 and right now using 8 GB Sandisk Extreme with Nikon D700 and D3s. Use total 60GB for everyday photo shoot in a combination of 1,2,4 and 8 GB capacities, all extreme. Life time warranty is great. Started to see some error in a 1 GB 6 years old card, Sandisk replaced it with same.

I have filled the card(s) many times with no malfunctions. The card/camera combo has kept up with my shooting pace including occasional multi-exposure bursts.

I buy San Disk based on performance and reliability. They are solid in both...strong on handling long bursts of shots and solid construction for durability. You can trust the quality of a San Disk card.

Top quality card. I buy SanDisk because they are reliable (for me) and priced fairly. Some cards can download more quickly but I never take so many that download speed is an issue for me. I would gladly sacrifice milliseconds in favor of quality capture. Never had a Sandisk card fail me.

The SanDisk 4 GB Extreme III card was quick when writing images. Shooting raw images, the 4gb capacity was nice. I've always had great success using any size SanDisk Extreme III CF cards.

The only CompactFlash Card to get!
By MVP S.
The SanDisk Extreme III is an excellent CompactFlash memory card. Always reliable in the heat and humidity of location shoots and the 30mb/s R/W cycles is more than adequate for my Nikon cameras...could not be better.
SanDisk Extreme III CompactFlash is designed for serious professional photographers who demand one of the fastest, most rugged and most durable memory cards on the market. Professional photographers who work under less than ideal conditions expect more from a flash memory card. More speed. More performance. More reliability. SanDisk's Extreme III card delivers everything you want plus a whole lot more.
That's because only SanDisk Extreme III memory cards feature innovative ESP technology for the fastest speeds and highest performance. ESP stands for "Enhanced Super-Parallel Processing". Simply put, it means you are getting the fastest read / write speeds available, speed you'll definitely appreciate whenever you find yourself shooting and storing pictures in harsh environments, extreme temperatures or at high altitudes.
