Very please and use often.
I have been very please with the articulation and levels of adjustments that I have been able to get while utilizing this ball head. Once I was able to get the tension set to my liking it became even more useful and practical to adjust.
Good Head
My first friction ball head, works great, very easy to use and sturdy. Good buy.
The 468MG is the first ball head in the world to incorporate a hydraulic system to lock the ball mechanism in place. Using hydraulics instead of a mechanical system produces a super-tight lock from a minimal turn of the locking knob, without sacrificing the smoothness of the ball's movement when unblocked.
The 468MG series is designed to meet the demands of professional photographers who require a light weight head but at the same time being able to support heavy camera loads up to 35lbs! The 468MG borrows the popular features found on Manfrotto's standard range of ball heads - such as independent pan and tilt locks with a 360° pan movement and +90° / -90° tilt movement.
To keep weight low, the head is made of magnesium; and to provide smooth movements, the 2" aluminum ball is Teflon coated. The oversized ball locking knob allows for easy control even when using gloves. Completing this masterpieceis a graduated engraved panoramic base and a choice of six different Hydrostatic Ball Head versions (note: two hydrostatic ball heads are 'Special Order' items only) with fixed or quick-release camera attachment systems.
The 468MG fixed attachment system has an easy-to-grip notched ring that turns the camera mounting retractable 1/4"-3/8" screw making it easier to mount your camera to the head.
