As someone who owns several Lowepro bags I decided to go with the same brand for a big backpack to carry a ton of gear on wildlife photography outings. It has been excellent, and the only thing that keeps it from being perfect is the lack of wheels. This bag when loaded might be too much for smaller people, but I'm a big guy, so carrying 30 pounds our so wasn't a big problem. The Pro Runner 450 lets me pack a DSLR with an attached 500mm lens, a second camera body, three more lenses, a lens extender, a microphone and numerous smaller gadgets. I can even fit a rain jacket and sandwich in the laptop compartment, and the bag's built-in rain cover protected everything perfectly when I was caught in a tropical downpour in the Everglades.

Enough room to hold most of all your gear. After it is filled, it is much heavier then expected. Overall a sturdy bag for the price.

I saw some reviews saying that it won't fit in airline compartments it probably depends on the airline go to but Southwest Airlines it fits...great space straps are awesome.. The weight sits right on your hips where it's supposed to be... I've already use the rain fly And it's a great addition to the bag

Makes me feel safe about putting 10K of equipment in it! I can fit a Canon C100 with the handle in it "almost" perfectly.

What a great bag- spent 10 days on Kodiak Iland, photographing Kodiak Brown Bear. Weather changed every hour- from full rain, to mist, to full sun, and back to rain. I spent 24 years in the military, and this bag is bullet proof. Fully packed it met the airline requirements for overhead, went to the boonies by float plane, went back and forth by a zodiak across the lake and surived 10 days camping out with the bears and still looks like new. We also hiked up to 3 miles each way to take photo's of bear. Very comfortable to wear. I couldn't ask any more from the bag.

This bag is very useful, as long as your needs are understood. It is mainly a storage, transportation, and on site gear bag in my use. This bag is heavily padded all the way around. It is stiff walled and therefore stands out off your back when wearing it. The straps are very thick to accomodate weight. The tripod foot holder does an excellent job at keeping the tripod from hitting you when walking, and the straps are very secure with locks on them to prevent accidental release. I currently keep 2 D90 bodies, lenses, multiple sb-600 flashes, filters, cards, and assorted gear in the bag at all times. This is subject to personal configuration. There is also multiple pockets throughought, card storage, and general storage in the front. There is even a document pocket handy for contracts, model releases, or other documents. Also available is a rain cover for those times when mother nature doesnt cooperate. Now for the downsides. This bag is very large. I have a tendency to hit things with it when i am wearing it and i turn around. This is worse with a tripod attached. This bag holds so much gear it may carry more gear than you want to / are able to carry. This bag is not a good choice for hiking or long distance carrying unless their is a need for lots of equipment. Their are much better choices for small amounts of gear. Overall, this is the best bag I have owned yet for the needs indicated. It carries alot of gear, carries it safely, and does it with style. I give it four stars only because its not perfect, but what is.
