Excellent! Works great as an optical slave flash, once you figure out how to program it.

This is a great product! I purchased this to be used as an optical slave flash when taking macro images. The instructions for doing so were quite difficult to follow, and I almost sent it back, thinking I had made a mistake in ordering. But after working with it for several hours, I finally figured it out, and it works perfectly in that capacity. It’s actually quite simple, really, but I’m only a college professor!

The YN565EX III is equipped with the USB interface, you can download the latest firmware from YONGNUO official website to upgrade the speedlite.

The Canon commander and wireless signals of the 7D, 6D and 600D cameras recognize TTL and manual flash and stroboscopic flash. A YN565EX III can be slaved by Yongnuo YN600EX-RT II and YN568EX III, as well as the Canon 600EX (II)-RT and 580EX II acting as master units.
