This is great for taking long exposures. I much prefer it to using a timer, or to using a battery powered wireless device.

What more can a person want but simply a remote way to take a picture so that the camera doesn?t move! That?s all this is, it doesn?t promise more, it doesn?t produce less. Exactly what I want? And the price is nice! (it did take six weeks to get through the shipping dilemma.)

It works as advertised. The cost is a bit high for such a simple device. But the main problem is that the cable is too short.

Well, we talk about a cable, an extension for the shutter. Completes his work perfectly. Why not the 5th star? I think it should be quite cheaper.

Simple, Light, just the "cable release" I was looking for. I often work on a tripod & this is perfect to avoid camera shake. The cord minder is cool as it keeps the cable out of the way when I only need it short.

Very compact and works fine. The cord tidy isn't very effective. I would have liked to have a lock on the remote to enable lock bulb setting.

Does exactly what it's meant to do. A decent length of chord that can be neatly wrapped too. Great for those long exposures.

I have some pretty bad hand shake when holding my camera, so this remote helps remind me to use a tripod and stop shaking the camera while shooting. It also helps me look at the overall scene rather than just at the viewfinder. I think that's helpful when shooting a portrait; because, it enables me to frame the shot on the sitter, compose, and then step back and watch the small movements and adjustments. This also enables me to shoot more with less ache in my back, arms, legs, knees, and any other joints.
