For improved grip-holding and mainly for ease shooting vertically, this grip is a must -have for XH-1 users - full duplicated controls for vertical shooting makes for comfortable and easy shooting, plus the huge benefit of power capacity increase for long shooting sessions or video work. allows for external charging in-camera and grip usually in just a couple of hours - also can connect tether cords and remote switches via input connections. Well designed, rugged and a perfect, integral part of the XH-1 - highly recommended !

Batteries were not included

I was surprised this device did not include 2 batteries because i was under 'Obvious Impression' that 2 batteries would be included, especially price at $ I ending up purchasing 2 batteries on a separate transaction. Online description was needed to avoid confusion because i would not purchase it if I knew batteries were not included.

Great accessory

I like this design much better than the X-T2 grip. I'm not into video so I won't comment on that, but if you need more grip and battery power, it's a big help. Especially for portrait oriented shots, although, the X-H1 is easy to shoot in portrait mode. I wish the battery access mechanism was a bit more secure and not plastic, but I never had a problem with my X-T2 grip so maybe a non issue.

Great addition!

If you’re a wedding photographer or videographer this is a great addition to the Fuji X-H1. It gives you an even firmer grip and loads more battery life to an already great feeling camera. I highly recommend purchasing this as well.

A big help for the X-H1

During a recent trip to Europe I took many wonderful pictures with my new X-H1.No problems there, but an annoyance: I frequently had to change the battery, often in inconvenient situations. That's when I decided to purchase the battery grip. Problem solved! Of course it makes the camera bulkier and heftier, but it really helps, both for stills and for video.

Fujifilm VPB-XH1 Vertical Power Booster Grip for X-H1 Mirrorless Digital Camera Features

  • The VPB-XH1 increases the max number of shots in normal mode to approximately 900. In boost mode, multiple batteries can be used simultaneously, improving performance for burst shots and reducing the interval between shots, shutter time lag, and blackout period.
  • Increases the max period for shooting movies in 4K to about 30 minutes, making the grip an essential accessory for maximizing the performance of the X-H1.
  • Controls include the shutter-release button, focus lever, AE-L button, AF-ON button, command dial, Q button, and Fn button, providing operability in the vertical position that is equivalent to operability in the horizontal position.
  • Equipped with a headphone socket, allowing the operator to monitor sound while recording video.
  • Includes recharging capability. The included AC adapter (AC-9VS) can be used to recharge batteries simultaneously over approximately 2 hours.
  • Dust and water-resistant, the VPB-XH1 can operate in temperatures down to -10½C/-14½F. Two batteries may be attached to the grip, and with a third battery in the body of the camera,
