I work from home and this is the ultimate productivity monitor. Can fit 3 windows comfortably size by side for multitasking. I do wish it were 5120x2160 but with a 49? display I understand the resolution. May try the LG 40WP95C which has that 5120x2160 resolution. Overall, great product.

I bought this a few weeks ago. I love everything about the monitor except for the fact that it goes dark occasionally then comes back on after a few seconds. I think its related to the USB-C function because this doesn't occur using the other LG supplied cables (hdmi, etc.). I've tried a substitute USB-C cable provided by LG and the problem still occurs. Thinking about returning for a refund for replacement monitor.

Fantastic for work - text clarity is superb! Only issue is that the screen blanks out for a couple of seconds every hour or two. USB-C connection to Dell 5560 and MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max.

I love this monitor, but just noticed a black frame all around (at 5K resolution). The size of the black band is about 1/4 inch or a bit smaller. Is that normal? I tried multiple resolutions and this black frame is constant.

Great monitor but there are a few glaring problems. 1. The software from LG is lacking to say the least. Updated to OnScreen control 7.21 and it only made it worse. Settings do NOT stay and every time you load a page or program you have to run it again and now it wont even load to change the settings. 2. Beautiful monitor with an ugly cable management system or lack there of. No way to run the cables through the mount. Also the power cord is 3 foot long and they do not offer a replacement for it on their site. Not worth the additional cost over the competitors when you have to install additional software and mounts for it to function.

This was my dream monitor. I finally broke down and put out the money and I can tell you it is worth every penny. I am more productive and it looks just great on my desk. I am thrilled with my LG 49" monitor!!!

I like the size of the monitor and the clean lines. I thought it would be more curved. Also the base is bigger than I thought it would be. Would be great to have more than one USB C connector as well.

I bought it about a month ago, which replaced my LG 34-inch monitor, and I must say that cannot be happier with the product. I can now see several programs running in my screen and it is a real pleasure. Configuration could not be easier, it took me a just couple of minutes to go over the different options. Super recommendable!!

I've had this monitor for almost a month and it's great. Ideal for video editors that want to expand their timeline or have up a script as they edit to see any notes. Features are simple and not complex - as it should be, so you can dive in shortly after install. The control knob on the back of the screen to navigate the menu is okay. I wish there were also a second option underneath the screen as well for those of us that have more depth in our desks. The split screen software/app would be much better with not only preset partitions, but an option to create and customize as well. There are other things out there to download and use, but it's just another app taking up space or, even worse, coming from a third party that seems a little janky. Would be much better to come from the manufacturer. Other than that, it's a small stain on a really great monitor. 5 stars or 9.5/10.

Great office monitor for no-compromise experience. I regularly have 4-5 windows open across the screen, or on a different day, can view the world's widest spreadsheet or movie-editing timeline without any bezels in the way. Other, smaller 32:9 monitors always seemed vertically challenged. This thing is huge -- nearly 4 feet wide, but provides a pretty immersive desktop experience. I've used it with both USB-C/Thunderbolt on a Mac, as well as DisplayPort and HDMI on Windows, Roku, and Raspberry Pi (Roku and Pi used in split screen mode, as they only support 16:9 input to half of the screen). You can re-arrange inputs and which sound input that the monitor speakers pull from without needing to juggle any cables. While my MacBook Pro can drive the full width, many of my other devices (even rated for 4k+) didn't support the max resolution directly, as they only expected 16:9 monitors, and had no 32:9 choices. My Windows laptop had to use 2 plugs (HDMI+DisplayPort), and treat it as two adjacent bezel-less monitors. The monitors handle input from up to two computers at once, with different splitting arrangements (split screen varieties, Picture-in-Picture), and I can juggle input selection and layout with the mini joystick button in back. I was able to use the VESA mounts with a desk-bolted monitor arm for a clean installation. Only item that is missing: No physical remote control -- you may have to randomly stand up and use the mini-joystick to change inputs. They have Windows software that may possibly provide some remote control, but there is no MacOS software to do the same.
