Good monitor but one of the 4 mounting points into which you bolt the stand in the rear literally fell out. Low quality!

Is this a joke? One day, when I turned on the monitor, it stopped displaying red colors. I noticed that many users have the same problem. There are a lot of complaints about this on the web, and LG responds to the comments here with an automated message suggesting that people check their cables.

I have had this monitor since 2022 and I have the same problem like RobArt where the red color seems to not be working anymore. It's so disappointing. I was so happy with this monitor. Don't waist your money.

I loved this monitor... until today. I have had this monitor since August 2021. It was pricey, but I work in tech as a software engineer so its worth it to spend on a workspace I enjoy. This morning I came down to my home office and all of the sudden there was no red channel. Thinking it was the computer (even though it is a brand-new mac maybe an update or corporate espionage software was making a mess) I tried a few others. No dice. Maybe it is the thunderbolt cable? It does bend at an acute angle in a place? Nope not it either. After searching around the red-channel problem isnt unique, and everyone else went through the same troubleshooting steps as I have only to discover that our worst fears are realized - it's the $1400 monitor that's broken and there is no color-correction or cable to fix it. If you can swing the almost $500/year on a monitor then go for it, it is excellent when it works. Just dont think that by shelling out the extra coin you are going to "future-proof" your monitor. You aren't.

This is a very expensive piece of junk. When it is working the display, sound, camera is great. I have four of this monitor, two for me and two for my wife. After using couple of years two has already died and the repair is going to cost $350 to $400 each to replace the board or usb/thunderbolt connector. This is a known issue with this monitor. Check out youtube about it. There is a $500 giftcard sweepstakes for posting review. I hope to get it so I can at least repair one of the monitor.

I've used this 5k monitor for a few years for developing software applications. I love the crisp text and single thunderbolt cable for video, audio and charging. The ability to connect/disconnect the display on the fly is very convenient.

Is not compatible with iOS Sonoma 14.7 and above. Has become a 2k brick. Still works on any MacBook below that iOS. Have tested Sequioa 15.0 and there has been no patch.

my USB-C port has also failed. would never get this again for sure. wouldn't recommend at all. it has had these port connection issues for at least a year, but it's getting so bad as to be unusable now.

Decent display with a short lifespan. After four years with this, it has developed image retention problems, which this thing is notorious for. Since it's out of warranty now, there's nothing I can do about it.

This was a great monitor until it suddenly stopped working. Like so many have listed, this monitor has a known issue with the USB-C connection port failing. I now own a $1,300 piece of plastic. I have reached out to LG directly via their social media account for customer service and have had no response. Disappointing product and disappointing service.

Pros: - Wonderful display panel with true colors; - Sharp texts and stable black that makes it also very good choice for programmers - Very clear and high volume built-in speaker - Built-in stand with Tilt and Height adjustable and a little bit tilt (you cannot rotate it) - Single Cable setup with thunderbolt 3 over USB-C cable designed for Mac Users - Fully compatible with your mac keyboard monitor controls Cons: - Included USB-C cable will not pass 5K resolution to your newer Macs like Mac Mini M1/M2 and you need to buy a new cable (I've tried UGreen US501-30389 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 cable and it fixed the 5K issue) - The stand is OK and not as horrible as some people are complaining but it could be better specially if it support 90 degree rotation - Lack of other inputs like Display Port and HDMI makes it hard for PC users to adopt - It will work with your windows laptop but as a 4K monitor that is still very good For LG Team: At-least update your user guide and help pages and tell people that the included cable is not good for newer Macs and you need to get a newer cable. Don't ship new production with included cable or even better send a free usb-c cable for those that are registered your product.

The default resolution suggested by LG is pretty low. I can't find more information online from LG about correctly using the 5K resolution. I have the owner's manual, which states to consult the user's manual which I cannot find anywhere. This monitor is connected to a 2023 Mac Studio that should support 5K. I did not receive this product free or at a discount in exchange for my opinion. But you are welcome to reimburse me for the purchase price.

The USB C port on these goes up after a bit of time. Extremely frustrating for a $1,300 monitor. It's obvious that LG went cheap on the port connections.

As a display - good. It enables labtop charging from the display, so that's good. However, the three USB-C ports seem to be entirely cosmetic and don't actually do anything to connect a downstream device. Note that they are USB, not thunderbolt.

It's a great monitor for the right price. It's easy to use and the color looks amazing. My old monitor was going out and this is the perfect replacement. I would recommend this to anyone on a budget.

Great picture, but it failed within first 30 days. As it was under warranty I was able to return if for free repair. That process took about three weeks.

I bought this a year ago to use with my MacBook Pro. It has worked flawlessly. The color and brightness are fantastic. I have to turn the brightness to 50% for everyday work and up to 100% for movies.

This 5K display worked flawlessly for about two years. Vertical lines, however, starting showing up. That was very disappointing considering that an older LG 4K display never presented that problem.

After much research looking for a monitor to pair with a new Mac Studio I decided on the LG 27". One of the features I really liked was the ability to not only tilt the screen but also to raise or lower it-something the Apple monitor does not offer. The monitor was simple to set up, just plug and play. Only adjustment I had to make was for brightness, easily done from keyboard. Color and contrast is beautiful. We are professional photographers working for various fashion companies so correct renditions are important to us. Highly recommend this product.

I have 2 of them at home for about 3 years... They replaced my humble attempts of getting one ultrawide monitor and keeping it. But the colors on this monitor are just spot on. Let it be photography, UI design, Graphics design... its... I haven't found a better and I'm buying a monitor without a budget. It has absolutely NO features. Which is good. I don't wanna fiddle with settings and game overlays and filters and whatnot... Just works whether Im on PC or MAC... I think I found one monitor that comes close, but the fact that its showing odd gradients it makes the other monitor unusable for my line of work.

I just got the monitor through my upgrade with an M1 Macbook Pro and thunderbolt hub. I could not get the monitor resolution above 4K. I had an OWC thunderbolt cable for my SSD that is blazing fast. I tested monitor with that cable and everything worked fine but supplied cables were trash. So I would expected additional costs associated with this monitor purchase to get the resolution up to spec. Still need to test hub with a new cable since failed to function correctly with supplied cable.

Very crisp and I?m super happy with the display color. The bezels are a little chunky but with way better availability than an Apple display, built-in cameras and speakers, and 5k, the 27? LG is a tough deal to beat.

I've been using this for about 2 years. The 5k resolution displays crisp text which is easy on the eyes while coding all day. Just a single Thunderbolt cable connects the monitor to the MacBook both charging the MacBook and acting as a USB hub.
