This is a beautiful lens for the price. It has become my favorite lens in the camera bag, lightweight, and the built-in light ring around the lens is an excellent feature of this lens.

I like these packages. The cap leash is great for me. I am always loosing my lens cap. Cleaning supplies are always great to resupply.

Great lens, of course it's a Canon. Sharp, easy to use, love the lights. Much better than having to use a flash. You do have to get real close to your subject, but it's macro, what do you expect? lol Yes, I would buy again.

This is a really incredible lens especially for the price. The images it produces in general are fantastic and to my eyes, a very noticeable upgrade from the kit 15-45mm. It also performs incredibly well for macro work and is an absolute blast to use. The stabilization works well and makes handholding macro shots very doable. The built in ring light is a nice touch too. My only complaint is that the 28mm focal length means that you have to get very, very close to your subjects for macro photography which may be a turn off for some especially those looking to shoot insects. This is my first macro lens so I'm not "spoiled" by a longer focal length and I'm not primarily working with insects so this is really a non issue. If you're looking for a macro EF-M lens, this one is a no brainer. Even for general photography, this is a great choice.

Great little lens. Need to be close to get good shot but I guess that’s what a macro lens is meant to do.

This lens is a handy lens for the new mirror less camera systems. It seems to perform well and I like the built in ring light when photographing macro subjects. The ring light allows the photographer to get up close and personal with his subject without creating the shadows caused by peripheral accessories. Economically priced, compact, lightweight and easy to use. The only shortcoming I see is the polycarbonate mount. So far so good but I see the mount as the only weak point over time. In macro test shots, I am impressed with its quality!

I have used the 100mm macro lens, but the 28mm is just as good. Only best for flowers and stationary macro subjects since at 28mm you have to get pretty close. But this simple little lens is the gateway to heavenly shots. Almost 3D clarity, and with IS YOU CAN'T MISS!!

Love the built in light. To easy to accidentally set to super macro when switched from lock position. Takes a while to get used to.

I've been shooting with this lens now for about 2 weeks. I've done an historic building tour (low light), still life (close up) and the arboretum (landscape, macro) and I am very pleased with it. Because I'm prone to tendinitis, I need lightweight gear. This lens has been the perfect addition to my collection of lenses and I highly recommend it.

Bought this lens to take with me on a 2 week trip and did not disappoint! This lens is very sharp and can focus larger than life. The extra LED lights at the front of the lens helps fill in the shadows caused by the camera. Also extremely portable and can fit easily even when attached to the camera.

Great lens for macro with built in LED light. Only drawback is plastic feel.

Not bad I tried it out last night I do like it. I just took a few shots but what I did take looked pretty good.

The dew on a flower. The color of a cat's eye. The facets and sparkle of a diamond ring. Some ultra-close-up photos are difficult to capture with a standard lens. The compact EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM for EOS M series digital cameras is the world's lightest autofocus lens and the world's first macro lens with a built-in Macro Lite, designed to help new and more advanced users close in to capture these incredible details.
The built-in, forward-facing Macro Lite helps illuminate hard-to-capture subjects for bright, vibrant photos showing off big, bold details.
The world's first autofocus lens capable of focusing to infinity in normal shooting and Super Macro Mode provides magnification up to 1.2x, allowing for incredible close-up photography.
While you're focusing that close, the Hybrid IS image stabilization helps keep the image sharp by helping to reduce blur due to camera shake. A lead screw-type STM stepping motor means the lens is smooth and quiet during operation.
The EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM opens up a whole new world of the macro for beginner and advanced users.
