I kind of wanted to give this 3 stars because it does not give me a lot of confidence that it is constructed to last a long time. But I gave it 4 stars because it is not an expensive product. It works as it should and it allows great light in and gives great pics. I use it a few times for Wide FOV astrophotography and it is working great! We also use it for regular photo's during the day for fun. It's a nice product for pastime picture taking and no need to worry about breaking an expensive lens. It also has a pretty good warranty from the company.

I could use this Yongnuo 50mm EF instead of a Xeen 50mm PL and no one could tell the difference when using a RED. The focus motor is loud but, I'm not complaining, I'm using external audio. Not the sturdiest Not the most modular Not the quickest in focus It's great for photos Okay for video (Autofocus isn't at modern speeds/ not compatible with any external focus motors)

This lens is borderline magic! I picked it up because I wanted a lens to use for my son's graduation shots, but didn't want to break the bank. Little did I know it would become my go-to mid-range single subject lens. This lens is the Frank's Red Hot of affordable lenses, you can put it on anything and it just works! I just hope they have this same lens for Canon or Sony mirrorless cameras, because I'll be buying it again!

Great cheap lens for anyone that likes to take portraits and landscapes. Even though its cheap it feels rugged. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget that wants to start there photography journey!

A normal-length prime for Canon EF-mount cameras, the black YN 50mm f/1.8 II Lens from Yongnuo is a versatile yet compact choice suited for beginning and veteran photographers alike. This lens covers full-frame sensors and pairs a maximum aperture of f/1.8 with a minimum focusing distance of 1.15', allowing you to easily achieve selective focus and bokeh in your pictures. Plus, a seven-blade diaphragm design can give you a 14-point star effect when shooting bright light sources at smaller apertures.
