This never worked properly

As stated, this never worked with my Apple. I think that I should expect to be able to install this as I am very technical. Years later, I just want to sell it on eBay

WT3A usage

I have used this product with at least 5 separate clients. If you do not follow instructions you will send a review in like the previous reviewer did. (For the most part). Updating the firmware is usually the problem. Once that is done you run the WT3a utility on the PC with camera connected. You must be sure your wireless settings actually work and do not expect NIKON to be responsible for your wireless (a reason many people may not be good candidates for this). Once those settings are in you click finish on the WT3a utility and disconnect the camera. Also in the WT3a utility you can set the folder used for the images that will transfer. I also reset it to a more convenient folder. Once that is done take pictures and they will land into the folder. Be sure the lights on the WT3a are displayed as they should be, IE Green so you know the wireless is indeed working. If not try using the WIRED connection (referred to as Ethernet in the setup, WT3a app, or the manual). Test it wired and be sure it performs as it should. If it does and does not via wireless your issue is your wireless device or settings. If it does not work CALL NIKON SUPPORT. I have had trouble setting up 1 of these out of at least 15 or 20. Most of them the client did themselves with no pain but a few required I assign IPs and a few other things but all in all the WT3a works wonderfully. I still buy them refurbished.

Needs work

I have been using Nikon products for 41 years, and this is the worst experience I have ever had using their equipment. Nikon should stop selling this item, and develop something more user friendly (plug and play)

Too Slow for Raw

Transfer of Raw images takes so long that it makes the device useless for this purpose. However, you can set it up to only transfer JPEGs. So, if you shoot in Raw+JPEG, you can transfer the JPEGs only, for reviewing purposes.
