Just used it for the first time on my Mac desk top. It loaded instantly with 350+ RAW and JPEG photos. Very impressive and I would replace it in a heart beat if and when it may fail. WORTH EVERY PENNY!

This reader works great. The cable I had been using with my camera (the same type of interface) did not work with the reader, but another cable did work, so I assume it was a cable issue and not the reader.

So far so good. Limited to only two card sizes, but meets my needs (Compact Flash). File transfer is fast over USB 3. Time will tell in terms of reliability. My previous reader (other brand/model) failed after about 1 year of light use. Would rate 5 stars if I know that it will last for several years.

My old CF card reader (usb 2.0) wouldnt read the newer CF faster and higher capacity cards on my Mac. Went through several brands and this is the one that works accross the board, no problem! Reads the 16 and 32 GB 150/160 MB/s UDMA 7 cards I use without a problem and fast, works with Mac High Sierra OS along with Windows 7 and 10. Faster with usb 3.0, but backwards compatible with 2.0 (little slower). Takes power from usb to power card for transfer. Like it so much I ordered a second on for my iMac pro to take on trips. Small form factor but sits well. Not to forget also has SDHC slot and they work well also. I would recomend this to my friends that continue with the CF cards in their cameras as I do.

I bought the predecessor to this model, the LRW30. It worked fine for a couple of years (of not very heavy use) but then started disconnecting and reconnecting every 20 to 30 seconds or so. Of course LR aborted the download each time that happened. Tested multiple cards, USB cords and ports to confirm the reader is at fault. Lexar will RMA the unit, but only if I pay to ship it back. I thought I was buying a premium product, but apparently not. Not getting premium customer service from them either. BTW, my older, less expensive Transcend dual card reader continues to work fine. Glad I still had it.

Bought two of these to replace less expensive product - which turned out to be pretty worthless. This one ... months down the road, the second one is still happily in the box. Very happy with this reader.

I have not use the reader yet. I would not have bought it if I known that Lexar has sold there memory card division to a company in China. The article that I read was in the December issue of Shutterbug by Scott Kelby. I will not buy any more Lexar products.

The build quality is good, the reader pops up and stows flat without a hitch, and I've had zero trouble with it being recognized or reading either CF or SDHC cards (macOS Sierra). Bought a second one and have had the same positive experience, so quality control appears to be good. Two thumbs up.
