Nice affordable quick 'run and gun' solution for my 5D. The problem is, while it has a tripod mounting underneath, the existing feet, prevent it from mounting to a professional lightweight tripod. Since I can't mount this to a tripod, using the legs as counterweights, it was not useful. I looked up the same principle from another manufacturer and bought one that works.

This camera stabilizer is great. I film with a relatively heavy camera (Canon 7D) and this handle carries it like it ain't no thang. Rolling around dangling your whole setup from this durable rig shouldn't be a problem, even after experiencing first hand friendly fire. You can even get other cold shoe attachments to stick on all of your favourite microphones, lights, and all your other goods. Bolt your camera to this thing and you'll get to coppin' your Fully Flared footy. The only bad part about it is that, with the weight of the 7D, if the rig is moved too fast (i mean unnecessarily fast), you can feel it get kind of wobbly. I believe that camcaddie has made an attachment to resolve this, but I am yet to find it. Combine with 8mm Fisheye or counterparts to yield best results.

Tried to connect camera but thumbscrew to short felt very cheap in hand and doesnt stabilize camera cause it doesnt add any weight to camera properly.. Interesting but one dimensional doggy cam

I like the idea but there is no way to adjust for cameras using optional battery packs mounted to the bottom.

The Cam Caddie will improve everything you do with your Video Camera. It makes it easier to hold, easier to film and allows you to be much more comfortable so you can focus on your subject. If you own a Mini Dv Camera this is a must have!!!

Fixes the biggest problem with the small High quality cameras. NOW you can hold the camera comfortably make smooth sweeping shots without worying about droping the camera. I dont have to concentrate on my movement or worry about getting a shaky shot. It Protects the Camera & makes a great base, I leave my Camera attached to it at all times now. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!!
