This is the best polarizer I have used. Very easy to rotate without jambing. Cleaning is easy.

I have only used it once so far, but it took the glare off the lake while taking pictures of an opposite bank of fall tree colors.

Polarizers are very useful for controlling non-specular reflections outdoors. This one is thin so that vignetting is not a problem with most lenses-even with a lens hood. It fits precisely and rotates easily for the effect you want.

I already had one of these filters, but I lost it on my last photography expedition. Not happy about that, so I needed to get another one. This filter is great! Experienced photographers know it can enhance colors, reduce glare on foliage on rainy days, and even allow you to see through the surface of water along shorelines on in rivers. It's Nikon which has always had superior optics! I put this on over one of my Nikon lenses when I need it, and I'm all set! Highly recommend this filter!

Easy to attach and adjust even with a lens hood on, colors are so much more rich and reflections dramatically reduced. Expensive but worth it.

I have been very satisfied with the performance of the Nikon filter. This is my first Nikon filter after using other high end filters before. I love the low profile that limits vignetting as well as the amount of pollarding affect if applies without creating an unrealistic image.

A huge difference between this Thin CPL and a standard on however there is still Vignetting on the Sony 18-135mm E-mount lens. The Vignetting only shows up at the wide end especially at 18mm and only on my raw files. The jpg's I shoot at the same time do not show it. The flaring I had with my previous CPL was really in your face, this filter I still see a little bit, but it is very subtle unless you are pointing directly into the sun.

Great filter if you need a stop of light reduction. Some of the newer filters don't provide this. Very color neutral.

Exactly what I ordered, performs the way it is supposed to. Nikon produced a quality product and Adorama offered it at a competitive price.

Nikon isn't noted for lens filters but should be. Nikon CPL is absolute top of the line. Superb glass, low filter factor, UV blocking, and no color shift. Polarizing effect tends to be stronger than B+W or Hoya, thin to reduce vignetting, and a knurled ring so you can actually get them off. CPL's have moving mechanical parts and was the main reason for switching to Nikon. After living with the gritty mechanicals of the supposed top CPL, the butter smooth mechanicals of the Nikon meant no going back. You don't buy these every day, particularly if you use a single larger size with step-up rings, so spend the little extra. Highly recommended.

Product received exactly as expected. I have been using these polarizing filters for years and have been greatly satisfied with the results. They also act to protect the lens. I only use the thin ring polarizers to avoid vignetting.

Great circular polarizer for my Nikon 200-500 f5.6 lens. Does exactly what it is intended for and adds only 1.5 stops. Don't shoot outdoors without it!

Great product - superior glass. I have used other CP filters that were less expensive and they did not produce the results of this filter. I used it yesterday when it was cloudy. i was really surprised by how great the sky looked in my photos.

Saves Time & Gets True, Rich Color

I had read up on why these polarizers are so good, but having it 1st hand has made it worth it. It's amazing how much post-processing this saves me, as well as getting shots you couldn't get before. Why would you need this? 1) Cuts down reflected sunlight reflected off metal and water, BUT you can use it indoors as well to cut out flash reflections off of wet or oily skin and surfaces. 2) Reduces the reflect light in the sky off water droplets, and makes the sky a rich blue, as well as acc...

Got this CPL-3 II 67mm lens here in Germany for only 69 Euros. ($87.00) US Dollars. Excellent color results. Thanks nikon. I use this on my canon 500D. It was priced at 159 Euros ($201.00) US dollars.
In general, light reflected from water, glass, or other shiny materials is polarized and adversely affects image definition. Circular polarizing filters reduce or eliminate unwanted reflections and increase the overall contrast of subjects in low-contrast situations
Usually, light from the sky is polarized due to reflections and dispersions in the air. Circular polarizing filters cut these reflections, making the sky blueror intensifying colors.
