I've been using these lights going on 6 years. They have proven to be reliable and consistent. I have dialed in my camera for optimum color control. I have 5 of the 600 Pro lights. The trigger is pretty good and I've had minimal interference issues with other frequencies. I figured, they were cheap enough, I could easily and cheaply replace them if I had to. But they've been a work horse and easily adaptable. The multitude of modifiers available makes them even more useful. I shoot mostly indoors, but have used the TTL feature a few times with excellent results.

I got a great deal on this, open box, no issues as far as it working and doing what it's suppoed to. I always buy open box to save some money. I've done it many many times on this site. No issues. I bought the same one prior to this and it's insanely good for the price. It's a bit heavier than I expected but that's ok. I highly recommend these if you're serious about photography.

Finally took the flash out of the box to charge the battery today. To my surprise, the battery will not charge. Not sure if it's the charger or the battery that is bad.

Fast, powerful and versatile. Synced up fast and easy with flashpoint nano remote. Not a pro photographer so I appreciated the ease of use. Worth the price.

I bought two of these lights, each in a kit with a C-stand and a 48" softbox, and feel like I am ready for almost any situation. It is extremely powerful and reliable, and I use them in the studio and on location. It has taken my photography to the next level, and given me confidence to try new situations and setups that would not have been possible before. Using entire large walls as a bounced light source, or matching and in some cases overcoming sunlight in shoots with vehicles where the light needs to be far enough away that the vehicle is evenly lit. The light is quite large and heavy, not something you could just toss in a backpack along with the rest of your gear, and you can't just put it on any old light stand, especially with the large softbox attached. The c-stand in the kit is too large for my car, so I ended up getting "heavy-duty" light stands, and they are just barely strong enough at full extension. The included carrying case is great: well made, protective, and stylish. The price for the kit I purchased has gone up more than 50% from when I purchased it, and I could not have justified buying one let alone two at the current price. The only problem I have with the performance is white balance. I'm no expert, but it seems a little green. Also, the modeling light is a different temperature, and not adjustable, so it can throw you off.

After much success with the Godox/Flashpoint AD200 units--particularly the upgraded Pro unit(s)--I decided to purchase an AD600pro for those times when I needed more output. In addition to the flash, I purchased an extra battery and an AC power pack. I have now had the flash for 6 years and used it sparingly. There is a lot to love about the AD600 Pro. It is well designed and easy to use. Bowens mounts fit well. The bracket is sturdy. It has a standard miniphone sync port so it works with a pocketwizard when you need to use it with a different flash system, and the Godox/Flashpoint trigger system--particularly the latest two pro triggers--are really terrific. In fact the triggering system is a selling point for the whole system. But the Pro designation falls miles short. The AD200 units almost never misfire and I have never had a battery issue. The AD600 Pro batteries require regular charging or they will discharge to the point they will not work. I discovered this the hard way when I attempted to use the unit and the battery did not power up or take a charge. Instant e-waste. But the real reason for the 2-star review is that the flash fails on a "pro" level at its most basic. It works well *nearly* all of the time. But it doesn't always work. I have experienced multiple occasions where the flash will just not fire -- plugged into the AC adapter, not overheated, trigger working with all of the other lights in the group. I would still recommend the light to prosumers. 95% of the time it's a great product. But there is no way I could recommend it for professional work. Hopefully the Pro II model has fixed whatever is wrong with it.

Did not know I needed this until I got it! It saved me from many complicated lighting situations. Specially in bright sun light ! And the TTL mode: is also a life safer in wedding shots !!

Great little upgrade from the Xplor series. I love that the LED modeling light is significantly bigger. My only con is some softboxes won't fit because of the bulb design. I bought some Glow EZ lock 10x24 softboxes, but it does not fit.

Nice upgrade from the Godox AD600B. Much brighter modeling light, improved rotating light stand attachment. Great price, don't need TTL for my work (mostly headshots). Plus, it came in a beautiful carrying case (which I was not expecting)!

I just started doing more off camera Flash photography, I previously had an on camera flash but I wanted to take my photos to the next level! The deal on this was incredible not to use! These lights are so good! Everything is definitely worth it and I have recommended them to my friends to also get in on these. These would last me a very long time.

I had the non-pro version for several years and liked it so much that I decided to give this a try. It is nice to have the faster recycle time and brighter modeling lamp. My favorite detail is the power button that is a bit easier to access. The Para-Snap modifier is pretty sweet as well. You should also get the extension head for this light, so you can mount the main power-pack down low on your light stand, and it is not so top-heavy. I would say this ought to come with a second spare battery as a standard, as it is a must have.

Would be great if the battery didn't die without warning at any moment. Might happen on the first strobe or the 300th.

Unbelivable kit. I saved lots of money and of course the brand itself is super amazing! ?? This is one of the happiest purchase in past years. And a perfect investment in a super high quality product as a photographer for my new studio.

I had the 300, and now I am doing more photos outside, and I need more power, and this one you can connect with a battery or power cord

Love the solid build and sleek look. This was a big upgrade from my Xplor 600 (not Pro) I've been using the past couple years. I love the faster refresh rate, as a boudoir photographer that takes a few shots in a row it helps me get more great shots for my clients.

I purchased this kit a month ago on sale, I must say you're definitely getting a bang for your buck. This is worth the investment especially if you're looking to take professional photography very serious. The softbox modifier that came with it was huge. Everything came exactly as shown and in a timely manner. You can find more of my work with the flash at IG: @onetakevisuals

This is my second one, so that should tell you something. I love these lights and all of the Flashpoint system as they work so seemlessly together.

A VERY Professional Monolight
By WALTER K.
I used a competitor battery powered monolight for about 4 years steady. I never quite got the same results as the hype that went with those units. When I switched cameras and that company did not support my cameras, it was time to change. I studied and studied and went with Godox/Flashpoint. Good move on my part. I started with Flashpoint Explor 600's, non-TTL, and never regretted it. So no wonder I preordered an Explor 600 Pro when announced. This newer 600 Pro model is tiny bit heavier and...

Upgraded my Studio Lights
By KELLY H.
I am still learning how to use my new lights (3 Flashpoint XPLOR 600PROs) but love them already. I am upgrading from a variety of Paul C. Buff Alienbees, so having battery power (no need to plug in), built in transmitters (no dangling pocket wizards or faulty sync cords), and being able to adjust the power from my R2 is awesome! Much new to get used to but this will be making work easier.

The broad spectrum of Bowens mount light modifiers available further enhances your ability to shape light, whether you're in a studio or on a mountain peak.
Recharging the battery is effortless, thanks to the external power charger that keeps the action going without interrupting your shoot to power up. The addition of a professional LED modeling light feature completes the package, making the XPLOR 600PRO a comprehensive solution for all your lighting needs.
