Great receivers for Einstein lights that allow power adjustments through Pocket Wizard TT1, TT5 and even Sekonic L-478DR flash meter!

Pocket Wizard has made great products for years and this is no exception. I purchased a set of these to go with my new PCB Einstein's and linked them up with a Pocket Wizard TT1 on my Nikon. Within just a couple of minutes, I was able to not only trigger my lights, but was also able to make individual power adjustments without having to lower the lights on my stands. They also link up with my Sekonic L-478DR flash meter and power adjustments are also available through it. Again, Pocket Wizard pulls through with an exception product. Highly recommended!

Great Receiver for Einstein Strobes

Switched to Pocket Wizard transceiivers for remote triggering cameras in sports photography. Prior used the PCB Einstein Receiver. Both work well but more uses for the Pocket Wizard products. The Pocket Wizard MC2 has a protective cap to cover the pins during storage or travel. Also, purchased the Pocket Wizard Module for my Sekonic Light Meter.

Exactly what is expected from PW

I purchased it a couple of weeks ago. Works flawlessly. I used it with the AC3 zone controller and it works without issues. I am super pleased that PW offers a device that works with Einsteins.

The PowerMC2 Receiver enables remote power control of Paul C. Buff Einstein E640 flashes with a camera-mounted PocketWizard MiniTT1® Transmitter or FleXTT5® Transceiver designed for use with FCC frequencies (North America). . PocketWizard ControlTL® technology allows you to control the flash power level using the camera's Flash Exposure Control (FEC). The PowerTracking feature automatically adjusts flash power to maintain the photographer-established level and thus proper exposure when the aperture and/or ISO is changed.

Simply slide the PocketWizard AC3 ZoneController into the shoe of the camera-mounted MiniTT1 or FleXTT5 and PowerMC2 linked Einstein E640 flashes can be controlled in three zones: A, B, and C in 1/3-stop increments over a six-stop range. Touch screen power control is also available with the Sekonic L-478DR.

The PowerMC2 can also receive Standard PocketWizard signals from Plus Series and MultiMAX Series transmitters. Set for Channel 1 at the factory, the PowerMC2 can be easily set for any of the 20 ControlTL or 32 Standard Channels and Zones using the Einstein E640 color LCD control panel. The PowerMC2 draws its power directly from the Einstein E640 flash remote control socket; there's no need to install or replace batteries.
