The print heads in these are the new failure point for Canon to make money on since they are going the "eco tank" rout instead of the overpriced cartridge route. The replacement print head lasted barely 8 months before showing signs of failure. WHAT A JOKE! Overpriced junk from this company. I will never understand why all printer companies are scams. Why can't anyone just make something that works and lasts anymore?

Printhead failed in less than two years. Lucky to be within the 3 year warranty but still extremely disappointing. They intentionally build these with weaker print heads than cartridge printers. They either want to make money off overpriced cartridges, or hardware failure. There is no escape from this industry of trickery. Canon is one of the "good" brands that doesn't do firmware failure like some others.

I bought this in July 2022 @ $700 , In November 2023 the print head failed. Past the 12 month warranty. Option to buy a print head that cost over $250, not an option because it was not available anywhere. Very expensive boat anchor now. Internet has lots of similar reports. Durability is not there....I had printed 2700 pages when it failed.....far from what Canon puts in its expected life cycle.

I type a lot, I bought it July 28, 2023. It's been 4 months since I've been actively using it. I've already printed 8900 sheets. I'm printing from Windows 10 operating system. 1. It prints very fast if you select standard quality and turn off silent mode. But then the sheets jump out in a scattering and then it is difficult to collect them in a stack. If you turn on silent mode, it produces even stacks, but it prints slower. 2. this is the biggest disadvantage: the tray where it stacks printed sheets is very small, it fits a stack of at most half an inch high. And if you don't put the sheets away, they scatter all over the floor. So there is no point in having a large feed tray if you have to go to the printer often anyway. 3. The scanning program is very bad, worse than Epson's. It is impossible to scan a document to pdf in good quality, there is only a mode to save in standard quality, but then the compression algorithms severely spoil the document, because jpeg compression is applied and artifacts are visible.

Bought this in August and love the print quality. However, it is unusually slow and unreliable to wake up and start printing when I send a print request from my phone or MAC. Also, it almost uniformly defaults to the rear paper feed, when I specifically select tray 1 or 2. This results in further delays, as it gives a "print error -out of paper" as I do not routinely load paper in the rear tray. Slow? Defaulting to the wrong paper tray when given specific instruction otherwise? Help! There is no help and no resource to assist. All the help available is basic, rote repetition of the initial instruction to follow the written directions.

I bought this printer about a month ago. I have had my home business for 43 years and gone through several printers. This printer is the MOST AGGRAVATING-to-use printer I have ever had. Let me list the aggravations: #1. It turns off regularly unless you are printing every few minutes. Then you forget it's off when you hit print on your computer. So then you realize it's off. You turn it on. It sits there for so long that you finally hit print again because you think it is not ever going to print. Then it prints your document twice. #2. In the spirit of "recycling" you want to print something on the back of a used sheet of paper. So in order to put the paper in the cassette, you have to push in the tray that catches the printed page. Then you have to remember to pull out the tray again or your document goes flying to the floor. TERRIBLE engineering. #3. This is the ONLY printer I have ever had that has you put face-down the side of the paper you want to print on. Needless to say I have had to reprint many documents until I finally got into the habit of putting the paper in face down. #4. When you open the cassette to put a paper in that you want to print on, it asks you if you are sure you want to use that cassette. So you have to hit YES every time. (And don't forget to pull out the paper catch tray!) #5. When telling it to print 2 copies from your computer, it will sometimes print right away and sometimes it hems and haws and then FINALLY prints. And then it hems and haws again before it will finally print the 2nd copy. Don't try to print anything in a hurry. #6. And oh dear Lord - when you want to set it up to print double-sided, there are TOO MANY steps to go through to do that. And the words SIMPLE and DUPLEX? Really????? You have to scroll through the entire screen (which, by the way, is so small that you almost need a magnifying glass to see it) to get the place to tell it you want 2 sided. #7. If you happen to be printing or copying a document where the margins are small, you can forget it. It will short you on one end. When copying it, you have to put one end upon the little glass frame. Sometimes that will work but most of the time not. This tells me that it doesn't properly print an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet. GRRRRRRRR #8. I have no idea why - I haven't figured it out yet - but it will decide on its on to print 2 sided when you have NOT programmed it to - AND in your computer you have 2-sided printing OFF. Out of the clear blue it will print 2 sided and ruin your document so that have to reprint it. #8. It constantly tells me the printer is off-line when it is not. I can go on and on about the aggravations that causes. So, finally, let me say, if you are a VERY patient person and have plenty of time to deal with all of the above for it to print, then go for it. However, I have contemplated throwing it in the creek that runs through my property and just going to buy an HP that I had for 7 years and never gave me a minute's problem until it got OLD. I suppose I need to attend a class on how to use this supposedly simple printer. But I don't have time because I am still waiting for it to print my document. I will also say that the reason I gave this printer 2 stars and not 1 is because SO FAR, the print quality is decent.

The specs for the GX7021 are wrong. Neither cassette 1 nor 2 can load Legal size paper. Cassette 1: A5, B5, A4, Letter. Cassette 2: A4, Letter. The specs should be fixed immediately. Also, the Canon provided install procedure fails for Fedora 36 Linux. It is possible to install the printer on Fedora 36, but it requires Linux sysadmin skills.

I cannot below there is absolutely no borderless printing on this printer. Now I have to return this thing. The quality of the pictures I printed are no better than my old OfficeJet Pro from 10 years ago. The only difference is that there is a border where as the OfficeJet Pro had none. I guess I'm going back to the OfficeJet Pro. Can't believe it. Overall I like the trays and look of this printer better but that is nothing compared to the fact that I have borders now. So sad to have to return this but that is essential for me.

This was delivered today. Fresh out of the box, plugged in, and it will not power on. I repeatedly followed the troubleshooting instructions to no avail. I could get no support, and the only support was from some chat group that wanted me to pay for support. Very poor product and worse support. I do not have time to deal with these defective products.

If you're looking for a printer that has an option for borderless printing, this isn't the one for you. I discovered that after I bought it and spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone with Canon tech support. Very disappointed! Otherwise OK but shocked that borderless printing isn't an option on a printer advertised by Canon as great for photo printing in their specs. We really need it and are now stuck trying to figure out work-arounds.

Love the MAXIFY GX7021 Wireless MegaTank Small Office All-in-One Printer. This All-in-One printer is a great addition to any small business. Set up was fairly easy and quick to do. Also the refillable ink tank is a great idea so you don't have to buy a cartridge you don't need. The little windows in the front is a great idea to let you see which color is in need of a refill. This printer holds lots of paper so you don't have to keep loading paper. Also prints on cardstock, photo and envelopes. This printer is very versatile.

The ink was easy to put in each chamber with no mess. It holds a large quantity of ink so it will last a very long time. I like that I don?t have to buy ink cartridges. It is a nice compact size so it doesn?t take up a lot of space on my desk. This printer will scan, fax, copy and print with ease. It is excellent quality and very dependable. The printing is fast. I really like that I can print from my iPhone. It has two paper trays that will hold up to 11?x 17? paper. It also has a document feeder for multi-page scanning. Can also use the feeder for envelopes and card stock. Prints double sided as well. This printer is great for a small office or home that does a high volume of printing. I'm very happy with this All-In-One printer. I love how compact it is, yet holds a great deal of ink, as well as 100 sheets of paper. Set up was clear and didn't take too long. The touch screen is pretty user friendly, easy to navigate. I like that you are able to refill the ink yourself with the bottles of ink, rather than the cartridges. And the print quality is pretty good - clear, crisp text, as well as vibrant colors when printing images. I also love that replacing the ink isn't going to bankrupt me - they are very reasonable. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Cannon Maxify GX7021 Wireless MegaTank Small Office All-in-one printer!

I love how compact it is and it is not bulky at all. it fits very well on top of my desk. It?s a very professional printer and works very well for a business that prints a lot as well as a family home. It Is also very dependable. It has ready to print black or color pages when you want to print. The design and touch screen are just outstanding. Having the app on my phone Also makes everything easier for me. This printer is a huge upgrade from my previous printer. I know it uses ink but I feel like it will last forever compared to my previous printer requiring ink ever 2 or 3 weeks. This printer was very easy to set up and even easier to connect to 2 different computers. I would say setup will take you about 30 minutes including linking your email. My favorite feature is the ability to scan invoices and have them delivered directly to my email. Not only will this keep you more organized but will speed up most other work with its quick and easy fax/scan copy features. No matter what I say I promise you will be even more impressed after you try this printer.

The Canon Mega Tank is just that Mega I don?t see me running out of ink anytime soon as it holds some nice sized ink bottles which it comes with I think that is such an issue with printers and ink running out way to fast and often and this should be cost effective in the future.This is an All-In-One printer Copy,Fax,Print,Scan so this is the perfect printer for a small office or home I have a small office which I now have it set up in but before I took it my son and wife needed things printed and it was honestly so easy to set up and even easier to print wirelessly as my son used his IPhone and it found and connected flawlessly.Printing was fast and color was crisp and sharp.My wife wants to try the photo print editor from Canon.It has two front paper trays which I like and the LCD front screen a very helpful.The Canon Mega Tank All In One is a perfect addition to any small office or home and I can?t stress enough how easy it was to set up including the ink bottles was a breeze to install with no mess.

This printer is great for a small office and working at home. In my business, I have to print and scan all day long, sometimes large stacks of documents. This printer has a 50 sheet tray for scanning and will even scan 2 sided documents in one pass. It's also capable of printing 2 sided and making 2 sided to 2 sided copies. It has 2 different paper trays, so you can load one with letter and the other with legal sized paper. The ability to fill the ink tanks instead of buying cartridges will save money in the long run. There are even view windows on the front of the printer to let you know when the ink is running low. And you can fill up any time you want (as opposed to waiting for a cartridge to be out. The printer has the ability to hook up to your Wifi or be directly wired. It has a pretty decent 3 year (80,000) page warranty. Overall, it seems to be a high quality, durable printer. It's a great option for a small office that does a lot of volume. Highly recommended!

This is a very impressive printer for the office. Setup is quick and easy to do and connected to the wifi without any problems. Finally a printer that has great print quality with the options to print black and white or colored that does not cost an arm and a leg. The printer has all the functions that an office printer needs from copying, scanning ,faxing plus duplex printing and many other options. Great investment for an office that does want to print and not buy expensive laser/color cartridges.
