Used Vanguard 10x42 Endeavor ED IV Series Water Proof Roof Prism Binocular with 6.5 Degree Angle of View, Black

I enjoy the outdoors a lot, which is why I always bring my binocular with me. My old binocular was an inexpensive Simmons ProSport 10x50 which I loved, but I gave them away to my uncle. I began researching for a brand new binocular that has a higher quality glass, but also not wanting to go above my budget of $500. I own a telescope and do astronomy, so I am familiar that higher quality glass yields a better image and is way more comfortable to look at. Soon I stumbled upon the Vanguard Endeavor ED IV. After reading some reviews on it as well as the previous models, I decided to buy this one. I did not see one in person before ordering, but my expectations were high. Pros: The field of view is nice for 10x magnification. It helps eliminate that arm shakiness. Very little chromatic aberration. I’ve only really noticed it against white objects. Image is comfortable to look at and is sharp with a bit of softness on the sides. I don’t really notice the softness unless I look for it. High contrast. Works great in low light and for looking at the stars. Diopter is located at the opposite side of the focusing wheel and it can be locked which is very useful. Fog-proof helps a lot when I go from my hot house to the cold air outside. Comfortable grip and feel to the body construction. Eye relief is generous with glasses or sunglasses. The included accessories such as neck neck strap, carrying case, and lens covers are all nicely made. The carrying case has pockets which is a bonus. Con: My only con is that the focusing wheel can feel weird at times, however it still works well. Notes: I used the Endeavor ED IV to look at the full moon. It did well to eliminate the bright glare you would often get using lower quality lenses and the black space around the moon was kept nicely black. I’ve also noticed that this binocular has a warm color which gives the images you look at a slight yellow tint. I think it is done to give better contrast and is only noticeable if you have other binoculars to compare to. The Endeavor ED IV is heavier than some in the market, but I’m okay with it because it feels solid like it can last a long time.

My son is extremely happy with these binoculars. He had done quite a bit of comparison shopping before deciding on these particular Vangsrd 10x42 Endeavor ED IV binoculars.. Many thanks to Adriana for an easy, pleasant shopping experience.
