Great ball head, but get a different plate
The plate is way too big (maybe built for lens mounting), especially for mirrorless cameras, and it will slip when shooting vertically! I even added some grip tape to the top of the plate and it still slips. I would recommend getting this ball head, and then get yourself a "Manfrotto 200PL-Pro Aluminum Plate". It holds more securely when shooting vertical, it's smaller, and it's compatible with their other quick-release system: RC2.
For the ball head, I prefer round knobs, but it's not that big of a deal. The built in bubble levelers are a nice touch, and -- overall -- the ball head feels substantial, and made of good quality.

Fantastic!
Once locked down it doesn't move. My first ball head so I'm a little charmed it's ease of user and quality feel. Manfrotto has never let me down.

Excellent ball head
I had bought a less expensive ball head that wasn't strong enough to hold my camera and lens. This one works great! Don't skimp - it ends up costing more in the long run.

Head and body a perfect match.
I love my new Manfrotto MHXPRO -BHQ6 Ball Head which I matched up with my new Manfrotto 055 carbon-fiber tripod.
The head gives me quick moveable setting adjustment over a sturdy reliable platform. This combined with a quick release plate gives the photograph the flexibility of movement for any photo opportunity.

Good ball head, lousy plate.
Ball head works well. Smooth movement, solid lock.
Be nice if there was a clearer difference between the size and shape of the levers that lock the ball and the pan. Fumbling in the dark it would be nice to know that the round knob was the ball and the lever was the pan, or vice-versa.
Included plate is too big, it sticks out past the front and back of the bottom plate of the camera, a D750. The plate doesn’t have a friction pad, the camera slips when used vertically. No amount of tightening will solve this, just a poor design.

I like how easy this is to snap on an off the tripod. I mainly wanted this ballhead because my other one (different brand) would creep when I wanted to take Milky Way pictures. So far, no creep.

Great Ball Head For The Money
Got this with the 055 Carbon Pro 4, Great combo, ball head is smooth adjusts well. I like the new safety on the quick release, Knobs are large enough to adjust with ease but are not bulky.

Arca swiss ball head
Excellent arca swiss ballhead with 3 bubble levels. Holds camera very stable. Smooth panning. Only complaint is that red button to release the arca swiss is not comfortable to press.

BEAST BALLHEAD AND DEFINITELY A TIME SAVER!!!
First of all I just wanna say I'm very impressed. The build quality of this is solid! Definitely doesn't feel cheap. Paired with a L bracket mount and you'll have a beast. It's worth buying. Photographer don't only pay for the best gear but also for time convenient and definitely this is probably the fastest setup you can have. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for Landscape & Portrait photography.

Sturdy and easy to use. Being a beginner I've used some other cheap heads and found them very irritating to use. With the quick release and sturdy knobs, this is a great head.

I have another manfrotto tripod and geared head. It is well made quality and this ball head is of the same quality. I trust the manfrotto products.
My previous ball head would not hold the camera weight. It would start creeping down from the weight of the camera. I had a lens I didn't need so I sold it to the Adorama used camera department and use the money to buy this nice ball head. It holds my heavy camera and lens without slipping easily. The adjustments are easy to get to and work really well. It's easy to get the camera off the slide mount and it goes in easy too. I'm really happy with it.
