I'm surprised at how effective the mic was. Actually, I didn't need a lavalier mic. It works very well for interviews.

Good set-up for someone starting out. The app takes a little to get used to as well as the different modes. Lots of great videos out there that can help tell you what the different modes are and best use cases.

I bought this for dual purposes; both to take ?quick? recordings of guitar practice and also to use on hikes to record forest sounds. So far I have been very happy with both the quality of the recordings and the construction of the microphone. The slip on holder is tighter than any I have ever used; I have not taken it off since putting it on, because it is too tight a grip. This is not too big a problem to me though. The small tripod is fairly solid, and works well. As does the phone holder, which is functional, but definitely built to a low price. The software is also quite usable. My only complaint is that trying to get a longer cable is difficult. I have tried several adaptors, and finally had success by using the included Shure cable and plugging an extension into it?this has lead me to think that the Shure cable is proprietary, in that it is not wired as an off the shelf cable (with those ends) would be.

Just received it. Used it to create some videos, the audio sounds very very good! Everything about the product is high quality and absolutely no issues whatsoever.

Using Moment Pro Camera App, you will see a SHURE Logo at the top of the screen when the Microphone is plugged in. Below that you can select: General, Speech, Singing, Flat, Loud, plus you can select the Microphone Input and Headphone Monitoring Levels. Any microphone patterns are preset using the Shure MOTIV App and remain set in the Microphone. This is very cool, and something that you will not find in the Native Camera App.

I brought the MV 88 + video kit to do a podcast with and to do outside research consisting of interviewing. This kit is amazing. I will be using this kit on a daily basis the video quality is excellent. It is easy to work and assemble. I would recommend this video kit to everybody. If you enjoy filming you have to have this product it saves you time. It is lightweight you can carry it everywhere you are planning to film. You can film a YouTube video with this kit the question is what can't you use this kit for. If you are a filmmaker you need the MV88+video kit you won't regret buying it now.

I'm a professional musician and bought this mic for recording rehearsals. I was skeptical at the beginning and wasn't sure it will stand by quality vs Zoom h5 that I have. I was blown away, because mv88 gave me better quality and together with free software (by Shure), it much easier and convenient to use.

The MV88 microphone Video Kit is what you need if you're searching for quality standard with low budget in mind. If you're a vlogger, this is the mic you want. Cons: I prefer a different tripod, like a joby with a portrait/landscape option.
