I love this little lens! My ONLY concern with it is that when stored I find the lens cap had worked it's way open by the manual lever getting opened and now I store it in a microfiber bag in the original box when carrying it around and switching between. Took it to Universal Studios and got great shots of Hogwarts castle with it! Easy to change right there on the street with millions of people walking by. Very handy! The quality is as good as the fisheye full lens. Highly reccomended.

I have used this on my Lumix G9 in the pixel shift high resolution mode with very pleasing results and have included a sample image to verify the fact. This is not a stellar bit of quality optics, it's a body cap that doubles as a fun sort of experimental lens. High quality lenses are a joy to use, high resolving and high contrast work has its place in photography, but so does goofing around. Spend the 100 bucks, have some fun. PS it works swell for video too!

Clearly not the lens you’d expect for $98 bucks...but a much cooler, and more creative lens than anticipated. Sure it’s a plastic-bodied and a bit rustic in it’s implementation, but it really shoots well and is a hoot to use. What more can you expect for the cost? Add-in Adorama’s easy ordering and fast shipping and what’s not to like? Best in bright daylight, a bit fiddly to focus (my eyeglasses really required for this) but I enjoy using it and I’m pleased with the resulting images I’ve thus far captured with it on my EPL-8.

Great body cap and pretty good fisheye/wide angle. If you are a beginner and want to experiment without spending tons of money, this will get you started.

This is a very good little lens. Sharpness of great, field of view.... it's a fisheye do you'll know that's impressive. Using it as a body cap is very convenient. It's not a portrait lens, and it has its limitations. I wish it had an auto focus, but at this price, and size, I understand why it doesn't. But it takes excellent scenery shots. For the price, it will add nicely to any lens collection.

Bought this to test with Panasonic Lumix GM1. Simple to use - set to and start taking pictures. Fun entry level fisheye lens.

One can modify this lens nondestructively by using a step-up ring (52-58 mm is very close) and any 58-mm filter plus an easily made 53-mm black paper or vinyl light shield under the filter (with a 33-mm hole for the 140-degree FOV of the lens). The light shield protects the intended exposure from unwanted light, which is necessary because the step-up ring is modified (by metal-filing) with a "sector port" to allow for free travel of the focus lever (see photo for shape of cut). The shield blocks this stray light. The step-up ring and filter-shield sandwich goes around the lens body by a thin strip of very sticky black duct tape (except for the "sector-port." This kind of thing has been done destructively in a "hack" shown online using "super-glue" and cutting the focus lever, effectively ruining the lens, but the above-described method does no harm to the BCL and allows filtration, which is usually impossible with fish-eye lenses. Neat, eh?

This will be a great lens for real estate or wide angle images. Just bought it and tested it in my city. I love that it's small and compact and doubles as a lens cap.

It took about a day to get used to, but the lens has many interesting uses. It is great for its intended wide-angle use for capturing full outdoor scenes. It also really shines in its short setting (0.2m/0.66ft.) if you want to capture detail such as the petal detail of a purple iris flower. The crispness of the center area of the pictures is really good and it only gets blurry at the extremes -- which is to be expected. Good inexpensive addition for a LUMIX G85. And it is a good body cap!

I picked this up because it was fairly cheap and looked lik fun. I’ve enjoyed working with. The pics are nice and sharp and the fisheye effect is not too extreme, more of a semi-fisheye.

Great value for a wide angle lens. A very nice piece to have in your photo arsenal. Doesn't do the best in low light situations, but can't expect too much, considering the price, which is fantastic! Highly recommended.

Great lens. Its compact so you can always leave it on or carry it in your pocket, and its super wide to take GoPro like photos. I always have it simply because it isn't a hassle to carry around. Photos are nice and crisp.

Neat idea, and it works well. No need to use a body cap. Always ready to shoot a picture. Picture quality is not bad, and it is almost weightless!

Inexpensive and fun. I am still in the experimental phase now. I plan to use it in the mountains for some really sweeping vistas. Manual focus is slow, but who cares. It appears as sharp as the Retina 3c I used in the 1950s (small c) The lens is mounted on my lumix gx85 making a very compact package Photos are test shots with lens

I use this lens when shooting outdoors. I need to keep my camera kit small, so carrying a huge wide angle lens such as this would be impossible. I kinda only wish it was more like f/4 or but I imagine it would not be small. Sometimes, I move the focus dial by accident and get blurry images. Wish it was a little harder to turn.

Olympus didn't compromise on quality of lens design and construction where it concerns this lens cap fisheye. This lens is just a joy to use & priced just right.

I use this lens much more often than I thought I would. Gives interesting perspective and not much distortion. A bit overpriced, but worth having

This bodycap lens is incredibly fun to use. Its a lens I take with me everywhere because, why not? Its so small, you're really not taking up any more space in your camera bag. The best lenses to have with you are the ones you enjoy using, and this one is just fun to use.

After having to discard about 150 shots of Machu Pichu, the Galapagos and the headwaters of the Amazon, among others, during a recent 49 day S. America trip because the "detent" focus settings are, at best, "loose"...meaning that they were somewhat focused...but not enough to be acceptably savable even with post-processing I caution to make SURE the focus slider is at the best position...for every shot. It doesn't take much to move the slider enough that the shot is out of focus.

I bought this lens October 2016 and took it on a 7week holiday around the globe. I was blown away by the quality for $99! It is easily my favourite lens for shooting in cities and in close quarters. The body cap size means its small enough to be shoved into a pocket whilst still on your camera. Perfect when you have to hop on/off public transport. Being fixed aperture does make it a little frustrating when you are in need of a few extra stops. BUT THIS LENS COST $99! If I lost the lens today, I would buy another one tomorrow. Its sharp enough to use for most applications. The focusing system is super easy to use and quick to figure out whilst looking through the viewfinder. I have enjoyed using this lens so much I will be buying the 8mm pro FE. But I will not be leaving this lens out of my bag. It really will always be my goto city and street lens.

You should probably buy this "lens." Despite its' flaws, this thing works pretty well. It's tiny, easy to use, and take decent photos. Even better, the price is right. Not a great lens in a technical sense, but a fun one. Use it. It can be always on your camera, treat it like a body cap, it's cool. Let's talk about those flaws, though. It's a fisheye, and it's wide, but not super wide. If you're trying to really capture a huge area, this lens may or may not do it; not a true fisheye, 140° is still respectable, though. Does not focus super close; you will not get those incredibly distorted shots that you might get from a better fisheye. Not good in low light. Not terribly sharp except in the center. Heavy vignetting. Consider using those stupid filters you never use; this lens makes them worthwhile.

It's not 100% a full fisheye, but for me, it doubles as a wide angle lens alternative for ENORMOUS group shots-a hundred or so people lined up on a wall without having to be super far away. Pictures are not as sharp as my other prime lens, but with minimal tweaking, that is absolutely no concern at all. Closeup, the camera's predetermined focus setting is perfect for portraits and selfies. Because the lens is super tiny, you can get the model to hover their hands or props over the camera (without worrying about poking the lens) for some really neat effects! One tiny peeve is that the lens is very sensitive to movement, so it is best used with a shutter release for full potential.

This tiny lens can produce some amazing images! I post a lot of landscape photos on Facebook and it seems that the ones made with this lens get the most raves. They might not be the top-of-the-line picture quality but somehow they look great, even with the winter sun right in the picture. I love this lens!

Much better than you might think from the reviews which call this lens a "toy". Post-processing is important to get the best quality. See: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dgeugene/albums/72157674067026940.

Handy addition to the lens collection.
By Frank V.
Handy to have on the camera as a body cap, always ready to grab a quick shot. Near fish-eye field very appropriate to use in close quarters where these spontaneous shots appear. Fixed f8 requires reasonable light level, but adequate for most purposes. Fish-eye distortion is as expected for this wide lens. Image quality is good.
