I bought this a couple years ago and it hasn't let me down yet. It's cheaply made but it works well. Just be careful with it.

Awesome lights. I specifically bought them to expand my light system and use them to light my backdrops. Definitely not disappointed. Will eventually incorporate them into other lighting scenarios as well.

good little light. No HSS so it is ideal for a studio setup on a budget.

a flash that meets all the benefits fast with a good power to work portrait photography and product photography. The led modeling light makes the job very easy and prevents heating. The flash of light is homogeneous and its color temperature is adequate. The flash rapids are very good for working with frozen without using high speed synchronization. a very complete and low cost flashI just didn't like one thing, and the fans are on all the time. At first the noise is somewhat annoying after you get used to the noise. if you want to work the places with little noise it can be a problem

I sold all my Profoto equipment and now just have a kit of Orlit lights. They are such a great value. No, they aren't Profoto, but very few people and applications actually need that performance. I got really sick of replacing super expensive broken bulbs in my monoheads after traveling. These bowens mount heads are also cross compatible with my Aputure video lights so I can use the same modifiers.

I appreciate the low cost for these lights, and they're okay for their price point, but I was using these to shoot some product for a friend and the power output fluctuates every few frames, sometimes pretty dramatically. I tried several different settings for how they'd receive signals to flash, but nothing fixed it. They're fine for entry level lights, but nothing more. (That being said, their ROVELIGHT 601s have never given me an issue as affordable portable lights. Only this model has acted up)

I have used it for portrait photography in my small studio and it works great! The light is very soft, and when use with my large soft box, it covers my subject really well. Mario

Super awesome to work with! The fans in the unit are a bit loud but it isn’t an issue. Overall, I’d definitely recommend, especially at the price point.

Great budget lights. I picked them up on black Friday to try them out. They do everything they're supposed to do. I use Orlit tranceivers with my D600 to trigger these lights and my flashpoint flashes.

If you don't need a lot of power these lights are great and we bought a pair plus the transceiver and are very happy with this purchase. Someone said these are flimsy and I find quite the opposite. We use these for a close-up school headshot.

I am a product photographer and needed a light to throw a little "kiss" of light onto a small area and did not want to spend thousands on a pico light. Fitted with a snoot and grid, it does the job. Have been using this light for a couple of weeks now and seems to do the trick. Can't beat the price!

Not a bad light as it works nicely and has built in receiver . However , it has a flimsy build . Still not bad for the price .

This light is awesome. It does everything I needed and more. It’s so powerful and for the price, I was more than sold. I originally wanted to purchase this and ended up buying a cheaper one and regretting it. So I went back to my first choice.

This little light gives me the added manual fill or rim light I wanted for use with my Orlit 610. While speedlights could fill this function, they can only be remotely controlled by the Orlit TR-Q6 transmitter when they are in TTL mode, which includes the pre-flash that throws off your light meter. This light gives me full remote control using the Orlit TR-Q6 transmitter, but without the annoying pre-flash. With the 250 I can use a light meter to determine the desired setting and easily tweak it if necessary using the Orlit TR-Q6 transmitter. It is also nice that all of the light modifiers that work with the 610 also fit the 250 because both have the Bowens S Mount. I have also used the 250 as the main light in a single light setup. If you want to use the 250 by itself, you will want to get the Orlit TR-Q6 transmitter. The 250 has more than enough power for a small home studio and recycles reasonably fast for such an inexpensive monolight. You really cannot go wrong with this unit because it is such a value.

I give this light five stars for the following reasons. I had the profoto B1’s and B2’s. I purchased this light specifically for studio portraiture. Recycle time was important and the profoto’s really spoiled me. These lights have a super quick recycle time so I don’t miss any expressions to recycling. I was worried about the modeling light, getting used to led power ratings versus older bulb lights is a bit confusing, but I’m completely satisfied with the modeling lights brightness. This light has a simple interface that is easy to understand and use. I love how the remote tells you the power setting versus how many stops you are up to down like the B1/2’s. I plane on buying a couple more and I love the TR-Q6 remote is well designed, well built, and easy to use. I couldn’t be happier without spending thousands versus a couple hundred.
