I works as a flash very well. You have no idea it is LED. Works for a video light too.

Happy I bought it!

I have this connected to a GX7, and have no complaints at all. Coupled with a diffuser, I've had very pleasing results.
Plenty of power for my needs, and even shoe mounted on the GX7 i3 very manageable.

Great flash for MFT

This is the only flash designed to work with the Lumix DMC-FZ70. It performs as described.

Relatively light and compact flash that works well with my GX7. Packs a decent punch without being excessively top heavy. It's not as powerful as my Vivitar 285HV (about a stop and a half difference at full power) but the much lighter weight, smaller size, occasional convenience of TTL, as well as the ability to dial the power much lower in manual mode (1/128 power vs 1/16 on 285HV) make up for the difference. I find the output to be slightly blue but a 1/8 CTS gel slapped over the fresnel puts it to daylight balance pretty accurately.

I take issue with the other review by "Chukster" posted 4/25/14. When being used as off-camera wireless or optical slave the LED video/AF light does blink every few seconds. This is NOT to communicate with the camera but to let you know from a distance that the flash is on and ready (as it powers off after a certain time of inactivity). If this bothers you, all you need to do is tear off a small square of gaff tape and stick it over the LED light (taking care not to cover the wireless signal sensor port next to it). Problem solved.
