I'm pretty impressed with this versatile tool. I find it very handy to use when I'm shooting floral macros. I used to have to wait until a 'grey' day, but this shades my lens enough to shoot in bright sunshine and still not get overblown highlights. It's easy to use and carry - it uses almost no space at all in my camera bag because it is stored flat against the side. I haven't had it very long, but it appears to be very durable. I expect I'll be using this for a long, long time.

Does a weird job pretty well. The Velcro is good quality and it does a job that really sucks if you don't have it. My hat is off to the designer. Its a simple tool that every outdoor photographer should have in their kit.

Works well if you are carrying multiple lenses and do not want to carry lens hoods. You also can block out more flares and light spills than the lens hood.

Well I have it as a premium for a camera or lens purchase. I have not used it yet. but its cleverness is not to be denied. Its in my memory banks and when the time is right Ill grab it and put it into service. We have lots of high winds here and it would surely be buffeting with that great protrusion. but might be just the ticket for studio use to goby off that back light.

I haven't used it yet but I have several pics that I wish I would have pulled it out of the bag. It is sturdy so not easily foldable to make really small. With that said it does lay flat so shouldn't be a problem in a normal bag.

It?s ok for my usage, but not perfect. I like the flexible adjustment to multiple angles, however from a bottom up it?s lacking; i.e. snow or water reflection up from below. Also, I have not found it user friendly to some of my older lenses with manual focus rings to the front. Going to be giving to a friend with more internal autofocus lens usage.

May be useful or certain photographers but I feel it adds unnecessary weight to the camera.

This is very helpful on those sunny days to shade the shot and dark nights with a neighbor who's got the lights outside all on while they sleep.

Recently I purchased a lens that is well known to have problems with flare when the sun is just outside of the axis of the lens. I have used this lens shade in just such a situation and it worked as advertised. In the past when I have taken pix in those type of situations I was able to use my hand to get a similar effect but I prefer to have both hands holding the camera to use the camera settings. Additionally the shade is easily packed away in most camera bags.

Came with my camera bundle, for the small mirrorless camera and lenses it's kind of pointless. It doesn't adjust well and slips very easily. I gave it a try for about 20 minutes before it became more of a chore than a tool. For me and my camera/shooting style, it's definitely not much more than a gimmick. You're probably better off using either a clip on lense shroud that mounts to the lense itself or using a tripod style shade. Users of larger lenses might have more luck, but that's been my experience with it.

This is very good especially when you attach a neutral density filter to the lens where you can't attach the lens hood on top of filter. I was doing an engagement shoot last weekend around 430 pn sunny day in Chicago and this saved me from sunlight lens flares
Great to use
