Got this one mostly for low light work, stars and long exposures. Coupled to the eos r6ii the lens has worked perfectly though it didn't work with my Canon 2x converter for a detailed shot, surprised it didn't. All around the lens quality has been perfect, performance has been perfect. Wide open or stopping it down I can't complain at all.

Perfect image Quality. A little heavy, but come on, weight vs. Image quality, I prefer IQ.

I had fun with this lens, but the autofocus motor wasn't working half the time. I had chosen a used lens, so I assume that was the issue. If it had worked consistently, I would have kept it for sure!

Very good lens but a bit heavy, the attached lens shade meant that my nd and gnd filters cost me several hundreds instead of hundred to two hundred dollars for it, the chromatic aberration keeps me from using it for night photography, and there is some vignetting, not the top performer for my landscape photography, but not bad for the price. Recommend this for those on a budget who don't necessarily shoot with nd, or gnd filters. If you need flawless, stellar performance however this is not for you.

Excellent Optics. I have tried Sigma Art f/1.4 in 20, 24, 35, 50, 85. They were all fantastic and gave extremely detailed photos even in the high res of the Canon 5DSR, seemingly surpassing many of the Canon "L" zoom lenses in these focal lengths in regard to pixel sharpness. When on a budget, it's tough choosing between any of the lenses in this series. This one give very wide angles great for capturing images of indoor rooms.

Extremely happy with this purchase. The performance of the lens was exquisite in every way. Exceeded my expectations which admittedly, were quite high. Kudos to Sigma on this 20mm ART Series Lens, well done!

The lens has excellent build quality and good optic performance. A couple things that bug me are: 1. There is no weather sealing, for a lens that's used primarily for astrophotography (for me at least), it's a pain 2. The coma control is poor, I have to stop it down at least 2/3 of a stop to have it acceptable at most.

I really love this lens. It produces really stunning images with minimal distortion even when photographing complex patterned areas. The large aperture make it great for some astrophotography that I am just learning to do. The only major drawbacks are it is a beast in terms of size and weight and the front element design makes it impossible to use screw on filters. This is not usually a problem except I have had limited luck finding a good filter holder. Most of the design I have tested really have a mounting issue to the lens/lens hood that no one seems to have worked out well yet.

I have got the lens and having been playing around with this, I am really amaze to see the sharpness even at 1.4. Wide enough to cover what I am looking for and definitely I can recommend this lens!

A truly underrated lens. This camera produces great bokeh. I primarily use for weddings when getting detail shots and still able to include backgrounds giving photos a very interesting perspective. My only complain is the front element is large and there is no way to screw on an ND filter to be used for video.

I loved this lens so far. I take a lot of photos in our home and needed something with a wider angle. This lens is nailing it so far.

Excellent lens, solid construction and performance. Produces sharp images with minimal distortion. Only drawbacks are the weight, autofocusing requires adjustment, and the front element requires special filter holder and square filters which adds considerably to your gear bag. It’s great for landscapes and I am eager to test it out at night.

This is a fantastic lens for the Sigma Quattro SD H. The full frame equivalence is about 26 mm (H sensor has a 1.3 crop factor). Its a super versatile indoor lens and the speed lets me shoot without a flash. I can still shoot at ISO 200 or less which is the sweet spot for Sigma's foveon sensor.Little to no edge distortion. manual focus is easy with this lens too. Clear sharp images through out the f-stop range too. It works well with the Quattro SD H for landscapes and panoramic images.it's a bit heavier than expected but not unwieldy.

Fantastic so far! It is large and heavy, but great image quality. For astrophotography there is coma on stars in the corners but doesn't bother me much. Love it overall.

I think I use this lens only when more light is needed during weddings. I have a 24-70mm f2.8 and I prefer to use that more since its more versatile. I kinda wish I bought a different lens. If you have a zoom and a nifty fifty then that’s pretty much good enough unless its for a specific need.

Very happy I bought this lens. Super sharp, easy to use, easy to switch between manual and autofocus.About the only drawback to it, is that it is heavy.(and lack of addon filter, if thats important to you)

I have a Nikon 610 35mm and a 70-200mm, which are the loves of my life. I bought the Sony a7iii in hopes of getting lighter equipment. I find the lens options to be reduced. I have not found a wide angle that is affordable, light, and precise. The sigma 20mm 1.4 takes real nice pics but it is extremely heavy. My hand even hurt more from using this Sony/Sigma combo than my super 70-200mm.

I purchased this lens based on reviews and satisfied with it so far. Well built and excellent focus. Well designed per value compared to name brand lenses.

The lens is very sharp, one of the sharpest lenses I have ever used. It is very heavy so consider that if you want to use a gimbal. The auto focus is a little slow when using for video but it's not a deal breaker. It's very wide so may have limited use; this can't be your primary lens. Will be very good for artistic uses. I really love it but had to return it for a more versatile lens (Tamron 28-75mm). Will buy it again as a third or fourth lens.

The build quality seems excellent. The lens is hefty and had a nice tight mount onto my Sony A7r3. BUT, I wanted a fast 1.4 aperture for shooting stars and the night sky. The coma on both ends of the rectangle was unacceptable, at least 20% on each side of the image. Thank you Adorama for allowing the quick return.

I had been waiting for the Sigma 20mm f1.4 to come out for the Sony E-Mount for about 6 months when I finally received it. To say I was excited to get it on my Sony A7rii and start shooting is an understatement. At first, I have to admit, I was incredibly disappointed with the slow speed of the autofocus... I shoot a ton of photos of my dog, so autofocus is necessary, and one that works fast. I was close to sending it back because of how unresponsive the autofocus was (when using Single-Shot Autofocus). The lens does take a while to get a focus point & it's pretty noisy while doing so. I wanted it to work out, so I started using it on full manual focus just so I could see how the lens performed. I shot a few portrait sessions and totally fell in love with the lens. The sharpness is insane and the bokeh is beautiful when shooting at f1.4. I also use it for landscape photography and the entire image is incredibly sharp at f8. What truly blew me away was it's capability to capture night photos. At f1.4, I don't have to crank my ISO super high to get a bright, beautiful and sharp astro photo. I did notice that the autofocus seems to respond quicker when I shoot on Continuous Autofocus as opposed to Single-Shot Autofocus, this might be helpful to anyone using it on a moving subject :)

I’ve used my lens both indoors and outdoors, none of my photos regardless of settings turn out tac sharp like a sigma art lens should be producing! Disappointed

I'm not a super wide angle guy to begin with. Don't love the look of 14mm. But still need a nice fast wide from time to time. This lens is perfect. Super sharp.

I DJ professionally. I have the Tamron 35 1.8 be which is awesome but needed something a bit wider. This captures the whole dance floor. And having the aperture open up 1.4 really makes one of a kind shots! I highly recommend it!

Great lens

Spectacular piece of glass. Also shoot Canon 11-24, totally different beast and also great. If you want fast and wide and it's a focal length you like, this is terrific. Build quality is excellent. Zero complaints about AF. For what it is the price seems like a bargain.
New favorite!

I'm a bit lens obsessed and own a large collection of really great Nikon lenses (24-70, 70-200, 50 1.4, 85 1.8, 105 2.8, 35 1.4...) I bought this because I sadly dropped my 24-70 and I needed to replace it. This is my new favorite lens. In fact, I'm now looking to sell my Nikon 35 1.4. It's so sharp, so fast, and I love how wide it is for indoor & outdoor sessions. It hasn't come off my camera since I received it!
