I was looking for an entry level piano keyboard that I could learn on and decide if piano is for me, and it's done the job admirably. It sounds good, it's has the digital features I'd expect, and more.

The keyboard feels like the Yamaha piano my aunt had during my high school days. It's simple and the sound is excellent. I would make the metronome more clear to operate but otherwise a great instrument.

My impression of the piano is very positive. I love its warm and expressive tone, which makes it feel natural and dynamic. One of the things I appreciate the most is its responsiveness-it captures subtle nuances beautifully. However, I would improve the sustain depth to make it even more versatile. I like to use it mainly for composing and recording, as it provides an inspiring and immersive experience.

This was purchased to practice and take lessons with Simply Piano. Sadly it did not connect to any of the Yamaha apps. Had to purchase a wireless interface for the midi. It's a shame that this is not built in already. This model doesn't include built in Bluetooth. They could have considered a low latency wireless system for a headset.

Yamaha has been known for decades for there top tier quality. This doesn't disappoint, and keeps them as my first choice for many products. The keyboard feels like that of a grand piano.

I tried several digital pianos.....the only one that had the right touch for me was the P45. I love it. It's hard to give up your Steinway and move to digital, but I managed to do it with this instrument.

I'm a little over a year into learning piano, and with young kids, my usual practice time is at night. The Yamaha P-45, with its headphone jack and volume settings, has given me a chance to practice at night without waking the kids up! Plus, the weighted keys make it so I can build my finger strength, and the pressure sensors in the keys makes it so I can be as expressive as any piece needs me to be. With it being easy to pack up and take on the road, it means I don't have any excuse for missing my practice! #sweepstakes

It is a fine keyboard for a beginner such as myself. My only complaint would be that , I think it would sound better if the speakers were on top of the keyboard instead of on the bottom pushing the sound down into the keyboard stand . Also, the headphone jack would be way more convenient on the front of the unit as opposed to being on the back, which is where where it is. All said, I think it is a fine keyboard and I enjoy it very much.

Wanted an electric piano for our high school son to use while taking piano lessons. The key action is great and very realistic feeling. The key feel and being a full size keyboard were important to his instructor. This does what we need to start at a great price. May upgrade in a year or two but with the resale value of Yamaha we won't be out much.

I am really enjoying learning to play. It's definitely different from the piano I use at my lessons but it's still wonderful. My only limitation in giving it a 5 is that I don't like having a pedal that is not placed in a way that it doesn't move and the pressure on the keys is different from a piano.

I have traditionally played for events that had a real piano, but if a venue was lacking one I was out of luck. I bought this model as It fit my needs with a good piano sound, and was easily portable for my gigs. I did not want or need anything too fancy and this simple solution did the trick. As a novice, I based my purchase on the recommendations of those who had the knowledge and experience to provide me with what I needed to make a "good" choice. To this point I am very satisfied with the guidance I was provided. The P-45 has the features I need as a beginning piano player, as well as proving to be a fine Yamaha musical instrument.

Very impressed with this product. As a beginner I was looking for something simple and easy to use. Piano is not overloaded with complicated controls or bells and whistles. Perfect for someone who is just starting and wants the feel of real piano keys. Playability and sound are excellent. I highly recommend this piano for a beginner.

Adorama had the best price for the Yamaha p45 bundle. Delivery was fast, packaging was excellent with no damage sustained in transit. Love the piano. Sounds really good. The stand, seat, sustain pedal and the headphones are all above acceptable. Piano stand is not a stage stand but works wonderfully for home use. I would recommend the bundle and Adorama to anyone. Thanks for the excellent products at a reasonable price point!!

I am a moderate beginner and I needed something with weighted keys; the Casio I had was cheap and it felt like it. It made me not want to practice. Since getting the Yamaha P-45, I can't wait to practice. It feels great and sounds good too. I also got Playground Sessions at the same time and have been using that as a major component of learning and I am having an absolute blast. This is not my forever piano, but I am sure that this product will get me through my next few years of learning until I progress far enough to require a higher-end instrument. Overall; awesome value, well worth it. I am extremely satisfied!

This piano sounds beautiful and setup is easy. The volume controls could be improved. When volume is at max level it isn't very loud. So it basically goes from quiet to less quiet to medium quiet sound. I would like sound to double from the max level. Additionally the headphones plug in is horribly inconvenient and located in the back of the unit and you have to move the piano to find the port.
