First of all, the service from Adorama was outstanding. I had a problem with the battery that came with the drone, but Adorama had me return it with no questions asked and they sent me an entire new unit pronto. I've purchased a great deal of my gear from them over the years and will continue into the foreseeable future. Now, I am extremely new to drones and do not know how to fly them. I am though, a pro videographer/photographer, which is the primary reason I bought this drone. I read and watched a multitude of reviews and posts and decided that largely because of the camera, this was the one for me. I made about four test flights with the Phantom before taking this on my vacation to New Hampshire. I was deeply concerned because the forecast for the week that I was going to be there had temperatures for the entire week in the sub zero range with highs in single digits with wind chill in the 20s. I viewed all the warnings and learned a few things. Keeping the battery warm goes a long way in flying this drone in cold weather. Although fearful I'd loos my drone, I almost had no choice because the scenery was so outstanding and my time there was limited. So with much trepidation, I put it in the air. Wowwwww is all I could say after thawing my fingers and watching the footage. A number of times, I did get a high wind velocity warning, thus I did not fly higher than 100 feet and most of the time, much less than that. And there was only a few times I got a battery temperature warning, which I landed Immediately following. Now I can't fly a drone anymore than I can fly a real plane, but the Phantom Is so stable and the remote is so easy to use that it feels easier than I've heard it is to fly drones. A couple of days, it was snowing while I flew as can be seen in my videos. Notice how the snow was whipping around as I flew over the building and also notice that as I flew the Phantom over the Saco River the snow was falling almost horizontally. Likewise, back at home in Florida at Red Reef the coconut palm trees are swaying pretty hard. Nevertheless, the Phantom is as steady as if it's on a crane. And the video quality is superb. I did set the camera manually and used ND filters for each shot, which are excellent features with the Phantom. I love the ability to manually set the exposure. I am so impressed with the steadiness and durability of this drone, especially in inclement weather, but I'm even more impressed with the quality of footage out of the camera. Now I do not suggest or promote using your Phantom in the type of weather I used mine. Remember, I was desperate. I do however, and very strongly recommend this particular drone to anyone who needs an all around professional drone.

I chose this model because of its camera and I was not disappointed. Flying something like this can be difficult to master, but all of the systems built into this drone make it easy to learn on. It can almost fly its self...and land right back where it took off from.

It's a great drone, a little more complicated than the P3 Pro. You need a wire to connect your iPad Mini and it has to be the late iPad or it wont work. Overall I love it!

I use my drone for real estate photography and so photo and video quality is very important to me. This is my second drone. My first was a Phantom 3 Professional. After only about 2 years of service, the camera started to malfunction so rather than get it fixed (probably cost too much) I upgraded to the Phantom 4 Pro. I've only flown it a few times, but so far it has been awesome. It is louder in flight than the Phantom 3, but I suppose that is due to the collision avoidance and other new features. There are a few negatives I have experienced: I bought a kit that included a spare battery. It was a good thing because the battery in the drone was DOA and I had to replace it. Adorama took great care of me, getting it replaced very quickly (Thank you Manny Nunez!) The other problem, which is a bigger concern, is that the drone will not work with my iPhone 8. With that in mind I tried it with a Samsung Tab A Android tablet, and although it works, the display is horrible and it is hard to use. With this drone you must upgrade your mobile app to the latest DJI GO 4 app as the old app (DJI GO) is not compatible with the Phantom 4 Pro (and some of the other latest models). The drone came in it's own case, but the case is barely useful. I has a spare battery compartment, but the batteries for the Phantom 4 do not fit in it, so if you carry a spare battery or more, you will need a different case, which I am currently researching. On the plus side, the drone is easy to fly and the still photography and video quality is excellent! Be sure to change the video setting from .MOV to MP4 otherwise you may have difficulty editing video in programs like Adobe Premiere Elements and Roxio Creator.

Upgraded from Vision2+. Huge improvement with camera quality and settings. The copter is awesome as well. It's so much easier to get into the air and also easier to fly, even flying manually. Now I have manual settings on my camera as well.

Very nice drone. I'm still practicing and getting use to flying on manual mode but so far so good. Live the fact that it hovers pretty still to take still images. And the obstacle sensors saved me from crashing a couple times. I also like the different intelligent flight modes. You can do a great deal with this drone.

I've had the DJI Phantom 3 Pro which at that time was awesome. I skipped on the Phantom 4 and thank goodness. The new camera and 5-way obstacle avoidance are top notch on the 4 Pro. Super easy to control whether you're starting out or a pro. If this will be your first drone, you can definitely grow with this over time. Unless you got the cash to upgrade to the Inspire series (which in my opinion is reserved for pro filmmakers), the Phantom 4 Pro will be a fun experience.

Delivered on time by Adorama, thanks again. So far (14 flights) the Phantom 4 Pro has lived up to its billing and performs as advertised. The 4 spare props were unexpected and appreciated. The battery also behaves as advertised. Overall, very happy UAV flyer.

This is my second DJI product, technically my third. I started with the Phantom 3 Advanced and learned to fly with little trouble. I decided to upgrade and initially went with the Inspire 1 V2.0 with the X3 camera. I was bummed at the lack of quality, so I exchanged it for the P4 Pro and was literally blown away at the images and video. If you can't throw down ($) for the high end Inspires and more with extra batteries, the P4 Pro is a great choice.

Professional Imaging
Phantom 4 Pro offers a powerful imaging system for professional photo and video creators as well as non-professionals who demand excellence from the camera and platform they use to pursue their creative visions. The camera now packs a 1-inch 20-megapixel sensor, and almost 12 stops of dynamic range bring out levels of detail and low-light performance unprecedented in a flying camera of this size. Its mechanical shutter eliminates rolling shutter distortion in fast-moving scenes. Phantom 4 Pro can capture slow-motion 4K video up to 60 fps at a maximum bitrate of 100 mbps. In addition, the Phantom 4 Pro offers H.265 video compression, which substantially improves video quality at the same bitrate.
Includes Standard Remote Control with Smartphone Holder
The Phantom 4 Pro controller integrates an upgraded Lightbridge HD video transmission system that adds 5.8 GHz transmission support. The ability to choose between 2.4Ghz and 5.8Ghz allows pilots to cut through interference and eliminates image lag caused when flying in an area with extensive 2.4Ghz frequency use. This ensures the optimum range of a maximum video transmission of 4.3mi (7km).
30 minutes flight time
4.3 miles control range
20 M/S speed
4K Video resolution

Reliable with Enhanced FlightAutonomy System
Phantom 4 Pro builds on DJI's original obstacle avoidance system with FlightAutonomy - three sets of visual systems that build a 3D map of obstacles in front, behind and below the aircraft, as well as infrared sensing systems on both sides. FlightAutonomy can position, navigate and plan routes for Phantom 4 Pro, enabling it to avoid obstacles in a sensing range up to 98 feet at front and rear, even in complex 3D environments. When returning to home and tapping to initiate auto takeoff or landing, the Landing Protection function is able to detect and help avoid landing on uneven ground or water. Phantom 4 Pro has high-performance battery technology that provides up to 30 minutes of flight time. The Phantom 4 Pro flies at 31 mph in P mode with obstacle avoidance in effect, and has a 45 mph top speed in sport mode.
Professional Control with New Remote Controller
Phantom 4 Pro's revolutionary new compact remote controller comes with an optional high luminance display, providing a clear and vivid live HD view from the main camera as well as essential telemetry data, even in direct sunlight. The aircraft will automatically choose between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz once powering on to gain a clear signal in areas with high radio interference. The new controller has a built-in GPS, compass, Micro-SD card slot and HDMI port.
Intelligent Flight New intelligent flight modes make Phantom 4 Pro the smartest flying camera of its size, opening new vistas for creators, such as the new Draw Mode that allows operators to draw lines on the controller display and direct the Phantom 4 Pro to fly that route.
ActiveTrack recognizes common subjects such as people and bikes, then follows them from any angle while maintaining camera focus, and includes three new modes New Circle, Profile and Spotlight.
Narrow sensing enhances obstacle avoidance sensitivity so the aircraft can fly through complex environments like narrow doorways. TapFly now works backwards and comes with a new Free mode that allows a pilot to set the direction of flight, turn the Phantom 4 Pro or tilt the gimbal without changing the direction of flight. With the new AR Route feature, operators will be able to tell the flight route on the screen.
As an additional safety feature, within a minute of losing GPS signal, the aircraft will automatically return to the last connected position and hover there precisely to wait for the pilot's command. With the enhanced return to home function, the aircraft knows where it should be going from up to 984 feet away and avoids obstacles along the route.
