Love this Leica SL2 with 50mm Cron. However, be advised that if you use it at events, you will need at least an extra batterie or two and nothing from Leica comes cheap. Well worth it though. I sold a lot of cameras and camera equipment for this baby and don't regret it.

Images I can only call Leica rich, quality unmatched. Body construction is solid and built for a lifetime of images and use. The true definition of the camera is in owning one. The statement, "you get what you pay for," couldn't be more true.

I’ve been researching this for a while. And while I get it’s an expensive product and there’s other cameras equal to this mirrorless Leica, but oh boy, is it worth it to me. Although it’s heavier than some, the build quality is excellent, and in my opinion is better than my former Nikon D850. Despite its weight, it’s an easy camera to hold. Of course, the optics and sensor are superb and for me the button layout and menus couldn’t be easier. Highly recommended.

2 months into my new SL2 (24-90, 90-280 lenses), I haven't missed my Canon 1DXii and lenses (okay, a little of the 70-200 F/2.8 IS II). Absolutely love the look, feel and the "operatablity" of the SL2 even though I'm still in the "getting to know it" phase--I have yet to customize any of the buttons. I'm equally pleased with my experiences dealing with the Adorama folk in the past two months--courteous and responsive. Also a bit surprised when I received a package in the mail with "Deutch Post" and "FRANKIT" markings, which turned out to be a copy of the actual SL2 User Manual that came from Leica Germany, as a result of a request I made on a call with a Leica customer service rep. when I casually mentioned that it would have been nice to have a copy of the actual user guide.

I am very happy with this fine camera. It took me seventy years to get onboard with Leica and it was so worth the wait. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has the resources to purchase one. Good Day Mates!

With the SL2 Mirrorless Digital Camera, Leica Camera proudly introduces the next evolution in its esteemed line of premium cameras. The Leica SL2, a successor to the groundbreaking Leica SL introduced in 2015, takes the full-frame mirrorless segment to unprecedented levels with enhanced performance, refined ergonomics, and simplified controls.
This innovative camera merges a brand-new 47-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor with cutting-edge sensor-based Body Image Stabilization, ensuring superior image and video quality with all Leica lenses. The advanced Maestro III processor facilitates rapid burst shooting and 4K video recording, offering the highest quality and flexibility. The optional Cine Mode caters to cinematographers requiring a professional workflow.
The SL2 features a new OLED EVF with a stunning 5.76 million dots of resolution, ensuring the clearest view and composition through a Leica lens. Coupled with a larger 3.2" rear LCD and the essential Leica three-button control layout, the SL2 emerges as the most capable and user-friendly professional system camera.
The SL2's newly developed 47-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, with an ISO range of 50 - 50,000, provides photographers with all the resolution they need while maintaining high speeds and versatile low-light shooting. The integrated BIS system offers up to 5.5 stops of stabilization with any lens, including adapted Leica lenses, ensuring steadier stills and videos and guaranteeing sharp images even in low light with slower shutter speeds.
The Leica SL2 is a perfect hybrid platform for both stills and video, now recording 4K across the full sensor. It further extends its capabilities with 4K video up to 60 fps, a cropped 5K mode, built-in 3.5mm headphone and mic jacks, and 10-bit quality direct to card.
The Leica SL2's advanced contrast-detect autofocus system is capable of face detection and body detection, tracking moving subjects and maintaining pinpoint accuracy. Intelligent-AF (iAF) can focus on still subjects and begin tracking them as soon as they move. The focusing settings can also be fine-tuned by the user to adjust the behavior and tolerances for tracking.
The Summicron-SL 35mm f/2 ASPH Lens, one of the most compact and lightweight lenses in the SL system, is tailor-made for versatile photographic demands in everyday use and travel. Whether you're photographing or filming, this wide-angle lens is perfect for travel, street, reportage, and close distance photography. Its quick, smooth, and quiet focusing makes it ideal for demanding videography with the famed Summicron look.
The Summicron SL 35 f/2 ASPH. comprises 11 lenses in 9 groups. Three of the lenses contain aspherical surfaces, three are made of glass with anomalous partial dispersion. Their special optical properties compensate for chromatic aberration and ensure the best image and video quality in a compact and lightweight design. The new linear direct drive ensures fast, smooth, and particularly quiet focusing.
In conclusion, the Leica SL2 Mirrorless Digital Camera with Summicron-SL 35mm f/2 ASPH Lens is a high-quality, professional, advanced, innovative, and sophisticated piece of equipment, designed for the discerning photographer and videographer.
