Wonderful digital piano, great action, excellent sound/tone. Plays afternoon better than my old upright.

Wonderful digital piano

This piano is increddible and it sounds amazing! This piano is solid and you can't beat the quality for the price. Roland uses natural decay technology on the piano settings where as other digital piano manufacturers use a looping technology so they don't sound as natural. I love the fully weighted velocity key action which is a must have for me when it comes to fdigital pianos. It actually sounds and feels like a concert piano. It has tons of piano and electric piano options, synth sounds, lots of orchestra and other sounds as well as several drum kits. You can also record your own tracks and save them to USB which connects in the back, however I have found that recording live sounds much better. It has the option of using headphones if you want to practice quietly, built in speakers for playing parties or small clubs, or you can plug into a PA system for large venues. It has a a built in equalizer too so you can control your own lows, mids, and highs at any time. It works great with the stand and tri pedal option made for it as well. It's a very versatile piano so anyone from beginner to expert can use this and I'm sure they would be more than happy with the outcome. Overall I really can't say anything bad about this piano other than it's weight... it's a bit heavy if you want to use it outside of your home. Although Roland does make a case for it with wheels and I believe SKB also has one with wheels that's a hardshell case, so there's your resolution if you're looking to go that route with it. I would recommend this piano to anyone looking for something new that that gives them a lot of options options and sounds amazing.

Great piano! Key action feels almost exactly like an acoustic piano. Sound is amazingly close to that of a grand piano. Highly recommended!

Great piano

I bought this to have a more portable option and it is loaded with great new features. Love the three band equalizer and the My Stage settings. I have a case for it and it is portable but definitely not a light weight option. If your main reason to buy is easy portability keep that in mind. I plan to take it on a Thanksgiving holiday in a cabin on a lake and work on some holiday tunes:-)
