Just recently bought a BMCC 2.5K and two SanDisk Extreme Pro 480GB disks from Adorama, great service by the way, and the SanDisk Extreme disks performed incredibly well. Worked all day under bright California sun and the storage devices where flawless. Great products!

My drive is failing now (probably controller issue), problems started right after a year of light usage. I wish I had bought Intel drive instead...

I recently bought a new i7 desktop machine with a 2TB HD and 16GB of RAM. Upgraded to Windows 10, and was very disappointed with the slowness of everything. I bought the 480GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD, and was able to - without much trouble - clone the HD to the SSD (using the free EaseUS software), make it the boot disk, clear off the 2TB HD for data, and immediately have a VERY fast and actually pleasant Windows 10 experience. I will never have another computer without an SSD, until something faster comes along!

What can I say - when you need to trust the storage media - why look anywhere else than SanDisk! The fastest and best there is!

I purchased this drive to upgrade a 3 year old HP laptop running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit (because it's still the most stable Windows OS; sorry Windows 8 and 10 users). It also has a dedicated 2GB Nvidia graphics card, Beats by Dre Audio card (which I really don't care for but I guess its nice that it was included), 16GB of RAM, and an i7 processor. The stock drive was your typical 5400rpm 2.5 inch with a 2TB capacity. I am a freelance video editor / assistant editor and I have a dedicated editing rig primarily for those jobs, but I use this laptop for smaller projects that require me to be more mobile. I run everything from Avid Media Composer 8 to Adobe CC Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Premier Pro, Media Encoder, Illustrator) to FL Studio 12 and Pro Tools 12. On the old HDD, everything was extremely slow to boot up and loading times were looOOoong. Just firing up my laptop took about 8 minutes (which for some people, might not be too bad). With the Sandisk, I feel I have a beast of a mobile system now. Boot up (I kid you not) is under 15 seconds. Those of you familiar with the Windows 7 splash screen, where the 4 little lights fly in and form the Windows logo, the boot up is so fast that the logo never truly forms up before it's already loaded up the desktop and ready to go. Loading up all the aforementioned editing software, takes seconds instead of minutes now. The speed of this hard drive is literally night and day compared to the old stock drive. Granted my little laptop was already somewhat beafy to begin with, but the new Sandisk SSD just supercharged everything. Of course, there are always trade offs and in this case it's the capacity. This drive is supposedly 960GB, but blank it gave me 870GB, with just the OS and no bloatware, it gave me 850GB, and once I installed all my programs and software, I ended up with about 815GB. Sure, I miss the 2TB capacity of the stock drive, but the gains in speed make up for it 10 fold. That being said, I always give the disclaimer that each system is different, so your mileage may vary. As a side note, I convinced a friend of mine to purchase the same drive for her MacBook Pro. I don't know what her systems specs are but she's had similar results and is very happy with it. All in all, I highly recommend the SanDisk Extreme PRO 960GB Solid State Drive. It has drastically improved the performance of my laptop and I'm sure it will do the same to whatever system you use it on.

If you're a power user, a gamer or work with intensive Read/Write tasks such as video rendering or multi-layer Photoshop activity then you'll find the Extreme Pro has the lowest latency and highest Write consistency of any SSD, even better than the Samsung 850 Pro which costs rather more. Also, you get a full 10-year warranty against an expected life of 20GB/day Writes for 11 years. Not bad! If you're a more normal user there are several "value" SSDs that will provide fast everyday computing at significantly lower cost such as the Sandisk Ultra II. We have the Extreme and an Ultra Plus in our PCs and they've been perfectly reliable and fast.

I added this 960 GB Internal SSD to use for program acceleration in my Dell XPS8700 Desk Top Ran Scan Disk first PERFECT results I use it when rendering video with Adobe Premiere Pro and as the Scratch Disc for all of my Adobe CC Programs What a time saver this is. I did not "mount" the SSD in the case, just plugged it in and set it on a bay shelf inside. There is an included plastic self-adhesive stand off included for better ventilation. Because I don't move my Desk Top Computers around at all, I didn't go searching for an installation adapter. It has no moving parts, so mounting isn't necessary (in my opinion) to cut down on computer noise. I would highly recommend this SSD for resource hungry programs. Video and LARGE Photography projects.
