I was looking for a wide lens for a while now - I tried one from another brand in the past and I really liked the effect. When I saw the offer on this Sigma, and after reading the reviews here, it was a no brainer. I am a hobbyist photographer, who loves landscapes and astrophotography (first steps) I couldn't be happier. It works well with my Canon, it focuses quickly and the images are sharp. Both the focus and distance rings feel solid when in manual mode, which is good because I hate the feeling that I grazed the lens and moved something out of place. The bag that comes with is solid and sturdy, it also has a petal ring (is that the right name for it?) but I haven't found a use for it yet. If you are on the look for an affordable and high-quality lens, I think Sigma has your back and wallet.

Have been researching this lens for a while for my D7500 and finally pulled the trigger. Glad I didn't wait any longer as the price doubled. Was a bit leary about it because of the lack of optical stabilization. After the first time out with it I have to say I am very impressed. This lens rocks ! Love the fixed aperture throughout the focal range and the build is very nice. Absolutely no regrets on this one

This lens gets it done. Nice sharp snaps at the widest 10mm a little softer at the 20mm end but still quite good. It's going to make a wonderful addition to my lenses for landscape shots. Just in time for a big vacation trip out east.

This is an amazing lens and it completes my glass lineup from 10MM to 600MM. Both ends being Sigma lenses. I was amazed by the wide field of view and new creative opportunities that it opens up.

Even though I was considering the Pentax 15mm limited, mostly for it’s light weight and portability, I chose to buy the 10-20mm. I was not disappointed. It’s much heavier and larger than I expected, so the 15 may still be in my future when I want to travel more compactly, but this lens gives me the range I wished for. Automatic focus has been fast and accurate. While I’ve only played with the manual focus option so far, the ease in which it works is greatly appreciated. It leaves no guesswork, letting you know when focus has been achieved.

This is an amazing lens for a fraction of the cost. I originally purchased a Nikon 30mm 1.8 f couldn't get the content that I needed using a cropped sensor D5600. Using this lens on 10mm I'm able to pull the room into frame and get every shot I need. You won't go wrong with Sigma.

Found this AFTER I had purchased the Nikon 30mm 1.8f for over twice the price. Using a a crop sensor for real estate photography, I was still not getting the depth I needed so I purchased the Sigma and gave it a shot. What a great decision that was. I sent the Nikon back to Amazon and got my money back because this lens is amazing. I have no complaint's at all and I can pull small rooms in to the lens with no trouble at all. you will not go wrong with sigma.

I bought this lens for a trip to the Grand Canyon and it fit the need. I've thought of trading it in since I didn't see much use in the future. However, I just came back from Italy and wish I had brought it with me for the Colusseum, the Ruins of Pompeii, etc. My 18-200mm didn't really capture as much as I would have liked. The images are very sharp.

This an excellent wide angle lens, it has very minimal color fringing and is a very sharp overall lens. There is a little distortion at the edges when used at the 10-12mm range but there is surprising little in the 15-20mm range. I got several excellent street portrait shots using the 20mm zoom. You really can't go wrong with this lens for the price especially since the price has now been reduced.

I recently purchased this lens for an upcoming trip to the Canadian Rockies in hopes of being able to take some wide-angle pictures of the beautiful scenery. Ive conducted some tests and the lens performs very well so far. It's a very well build lens and with an f3.5 aperture that gives you some excellent quality. The price for the lens was very good for the quality of the lens with only some minor softness around the edges. I think it will do an excellent job in Canada for my trip.

Nice wide angle lens, but don't expect too much sharpness or detail from the photos. It's a good lens, but I wouldn't say the images wow you. Granted, if you really need sharp, detailed, wide photos, upgrade to a full-frame.

I love this lens. It shoots great architecture shots and with no noticeable distortion. This lense was on sale and less than half the price of the Nikor lens. It is an amazing value.

I just got the sigma lens, and find it very versatile for landscape, city, and closeup pictures. It has no noticeable distortion , in spite of the extreme wide angle performance. It will be my walk-around lens, together with my Pentax 18-280 mm zoom lens.

Wanted a lens that would be compatible with both my Nikon D50 and D3100. This lense really fills the bill. Realized I was really missing out last spring on a trip to Arches and Capital Reef National Parks. This is my go to for landscape photography now.

I love this lens, it offers crisp focus, vibrant colors and is durable. I use it as my primary wide angle lens and aways have it with me for that quick landscape or even a portrait of someone.

I am very happy with this purchase. I needed something to shoot wide enough for the interior of a bus and it does great for the price.

I have recently changed over to to Canon cameras and was in need of an ultra wide angle and could't pass on this deal. The lens is as advertised sharp and fast and while I haven't used it a lot I am very happy with the results. I Love Sigma Lens.

Easy to use right out of the box. When shooting interiors lines remained crisp and straight. A great bargain for the price. I match it with a D7100 and everything just works.

Great lens. A 10mm zoom aps-c lens is a rare find. Therefore it’s few problems can be excused and worked around. It is sharp, especially at f5.6, f8, and f11. It is very acceptable at f3.5 and f4. It has some strange wavy distortions near the edges at the wider focal lengths of the zoom. It is not noticeable in an outdoors natural setting. With a straight line pattern near the edges, it is. Vignetting at the wider apertures is noticeable. I like that this lens allows manual focusing touch-up after the autofocus has been engaged without moving the AF/MF switch back and forth. My main complaint is that it is hard to turn the adjustment ring on a polarizer or graduated ND filter with the hood attached. When using an ultrawide lens there are lessons that need to be learned such as straight line and horizon placement, polarizer use, and field curvature understanding . These are not lens failures, but rather expected, unavoidable lens behaviors. I would recommend this to a friend and buy another for myself!

surprisingly good

I purchased this lens when I had to send my Nikon 14-24mm lens in for repairs, and had a few important shoots coming up. I planned to sell it once the 14-24 was returned. I hastily tested it, finding it to be soft in the corners and soft wide open - an above average lens but not nearly as good as my beloved 14-24. One of my important shoots was the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk - I won my walk's competition with an image from this lens, at 10mm. Color me impressed! I'm so impressed, I'm k...

Better than expectation!

I purchased this to use with MC-11 adapter on Sony a6500. The distortion is controlled pretty well. A quite sharp image. Very satisfied with this lens!
The Sigma 10-20mm F3.5 Ex DC HSM is a super-wide angle lens that has a maximum aperture of F3.5 throughout the entire zoom range. With its wide angle view from 102.4 degrees it can produce striking images with exaggerated perspective. The maximum aperture of F3.5 is ideal for indoor shooting and it enables photographers to emphasize the subject.
Two ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion) glass elements and a SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element provide excellent correction of color aberration. Four aspherical lenses provide correction for distortion and allow compact and lightweight construction.
The Super Multi-Layer coating reduces flare and ghosting. High image quality is assured throughout the entire zoom range. The incorporation of HSM (Hyper-Sonic Motor) ensures a quiet and high-speed auto focus as well as full-time manual focusing capability.
This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 9.4 inches (24cm) throughout the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:6.6.
The lens design incorporates an inner focusing system which eliminates front lens rotation, making the lens particularly suitable for using the Petal-type hood and polarizing filter. The Petal-type hood blocks extraneous light and reduces internal reflection.
