I had had the opportunity to try these out at a friend's house and was sold at that point. My own set was good to go right out of the box. No scratches on the casing or smudges on any of the lenses. As we are in Milky Way season, they do a great job bringing the core closer to me! And the moon...awesome. I will say that a sturdy tripod is a must for the optimal viewing experience. They are simply too heavy to hold steady for long periods of time.

I use this to complement my telescopes as it?s often nice to just scan the skies and appreciate the wider views. Absolutely brilliant views of the Pleiades and Perseus clusters. In the daytime, it's handy with distant birds. Only a tinge of chromatic aberration on the bright planets and along the lunar limb, but easily ignored. Bring a tripod! The built-in adapter feels secure and is great. I added a red dot finder using the included rail and it helps me aim the tripod (though I?d recommend a parallelogram style mount and a lawn chair!). I enjoy using them and they?re simple enough for kids to handle. Big objective lenses gather A LOT of light to eke out those faint fuzzies.

Amazing product. Very powerful. clear view and definition. I did not gave it 5 stars because mine came with a dirty spot, inside the glass that I can not get to unless I disassemble the unit. it is very very small black spot, it does not affect the view, but is there..... it is heavy, but given the POWER this thing have, it is understandable.

Great Binoculars , exactly what I was looking for , the moon etc . Just remember unless you are Mr Olympia , make sure you use a monopod or tripod for extended viewing.

A great product changes how you perceive opportunities you never imagined every time you use it. The Celestron Skymaster Pro 20x80 is a Great Product! I purchased these binoculars primarily for stargazing. The exceptionally clear night sky where we live on Cape Cod is perfect for stargazing, and I figured I would treat myself to a big step up from my 8x50 binocs. The latter served me well, but the Skymaster treated me to details of the Milky Way my older binocs only hinted at. Thousands of distant stars and galaxies now burst forth from what was previously black space. Better still, our grown children have taken up serious stargazing after spending a week of stargazing with the Skymaster. My only regret is I didn't have another pair of Skymasters, or two, to keep everyone happy! The balance on the Skymaster Pro is quite good, enabling these binocs to be used without a tripod. With these binocs tipping the scale at almost 5 lbs.,I recommend holding the binoc close to the objective lens to minimize vibrations once you have set your focus. One small detail we find really convenient is the design of the dust caps. The rubber objective lens dust caps are hinged to a rubber ring that fits snuggly around the binocular barrel:. The rubber eye piece dust caps can be attached to the binocular strap. No more fumbling when removing (and possibly losing) dust caps! All in all a superb optical instrument!

Excellent optics for the price. I've not used any other product in this price range with this level of quality. If you can't or don't want to spend big money (like over 2K), these are the ticket. They do weigh a bit, so a tripod really helps. It's great that these can be mounted to a tripod. Great packaging and bag here, too.

Take your astronomical observations and wildlife viewing to the next level with the 20x80 SkyMaster Pro Binocular. This high-quality, durable binocular is the perfect tool for amateur astronomers and nature enthusiasts who demand superior performance at great distances.
Unlike other large aperture binoculars in its price range, the SkyMaster Pro boasts superior optics, coatings, internal parts, and housing materials. Its powerful 20x magnification and large 80mm objective lenses offer a closer, more detailed view of distant objects. These large lenses also have exceptional light gathering capabilities, delivering superior low light performance, making it ideal for use at dusk, dawn, and nighttime astronomical viewing.
The SkyMaster Pro utilizes Celestron's proprietary XLT coating technology on every air-to-glass surface. This, coupled with BaK-4 prisms, increases light transmission through the optical path, delivering crisp, high contrast images with outstanding resolution.
For added comfort and versatility, this binocular includes both standard and winged rubber eyecups. Switch to the winged eyecups to block side light and glare, improving your viewing experience in less than ideal lighting conditions.
The SkyMaster Pro 20x80 also features a built-in tripod adapter for added stability during longer viewing sessions. This adapter includes a removable rail for attaching a red-dot finder, which, when properly aligned with the binocular, allows for quick object location and centering.
Constructed with a combination of polycarbonate and aluminum, the housing of the SkyMaster Pro is lightweight yet incredibly durable. It's further protected by a rugged, rubber armor, capable of withstanding tough use. The fully waterproof housing ensures peace of mind during unexpected weather changes, and it's filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent internal lens fogging in damp conditions or when moving between extreme temperatures.
Experience the power, reliability, and versatility of the 20x80 SkyMaster Pro Binocular. It's designed to bring distant celestial objects, wildlife, or far-off landscapes into sharp, clear view, enhancing your observation experience like never before.
