This is the only adapter I ever paid more than $40 bucks for. Its pretty amazing and unlike the other reviewer, I had very little distortion or CA on the lenses Ive used. Ive had great sharp results, and the OoF performance is a huge plus! It was worth every penny! I'm sure your milage will very, but I can tell you for sure that the following lenses work perfectly with this adapter: - Nikon 50/1.2 AIS - Voigtlander Ultron 40/2 - Nikon 105/2.5 Ai - Nikon 50/1.8 E - Sigma 24/2.8 Super Wide II - Nikon 35-75/3.5 AIS

I was very excited when this product was finally available for using Nikon lenses on the Fuji X-mount. It is solid, fits well, but does add a bit of weight to the camera. Part of the reason I purchased the Fuji X-E1 was to lighten the load. The pictures I took were very sharp but unfortunately it consistently added significant barrel distortion. This was true even with my Nikkor 50mm 1.8. The added barrel distortion was not worth having the full frame benefits. I ended up returning it.

Metabones Speed Booster mounts between a mirrorless camera and a SLR lens. It increases maximum aperture by 1 stop (hence its name), increases MTF and has a focal length multiplier of 0.71x. For example, the Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II lens becomes a 59mm f/0.9 lens on a Sony NEX camera, with increased sharpness. The faster F-stop allows for shallow depth-of-field and a lower ISO setting for decreased noise.
Speed Booster is also particularly pertinent to ultra-wide-angle SLR lenses. The combined focal length multiplier of Speed Booster and an APS-C mirrorless camera is approximately 1.09x, making the combination almost "full-frame". Full-frame ultra-wide-angle SLR lenses largely retain their angle-of-view on an APS-C mirrorless camera when Speed Booster is used.
The optics of Speed Booster is designed by Brian Caldwell, PhD, a veteran of highly-corrected lens designs such as the Coastal Optics 60mm f/4 UV-VIS-IR APO Macro lens with exemplary MTF performance (focusing done with visible light requires no correction whatsoever for the full spectrum from UV to IR).
Remark:
This mount is manual aperture control. It does NOT support electronic aperture control.
