Yongnuo has built a brand reputation upon producing great photo and video accessories at a pricepoint that's hard to beat, and this wireless flash transceiver is no exception. It's compatible with Nikon E-TTL and E-TTL II cameras, and has added support for other communication protocols that will help it function with a lot of various flash units.
This transceiver boasts great connectivity, utilizing 7 channels and 3 groups to set up multiple other flash units with ease. It can also link to a strobe through the PC Sync port and take advantage of Super Sync to provide a faster sync speed than normally possible with a given camera. This transceiver is an updated version of previous models from Yongnuo, with added support for group ratios and multi-flash functions.
The 622C features LED indicators for settings and adjustment readings, and also has an autofocus-assist beam to help in low-light shooting situations. Several sync modes can be used depending on the photographer's needs, like first- and second-curtain sync, and Super Sync can get the flash sync speed all the way up to 1/8000 sec. The unit also runs on two AA batteries, saving you the headache of purchasing and charging battery packs and making it a cinch to swap out standard battery cells.
