All in all, this printer is a good printer. The only issue I have is that it is slower at processing data than my previous printer that was discontinued.

Top paper tray continually gives paper jam error. Never any paper jam. This happens only with photo paper, but a real pain.

I had bought this printer before but returned as there was problem when setting up the printer. Kept getting error message with the ink cartridge and when tried to get support the person could not help me so I returned. I purchased again for office as it printed 11 x17 paper. I find the printer very slow in printing and copying. It sounds like it's printing but it's not. It take almost a minute before printing or copying. When scanning sometimes it does not detect the pc/laptop, have to turn off and turn on the printer. The quality of the printer is very poor. I have always for over 25 years purchased HP printers only.

Printer wasn't working properly after setup. I wasted a lot of paper and ink. Customer service time zones are not ideal for BC Residence in PST time zone. First few calls transferred me around or hung up on me because they didn't know how to solve the problem. I finally managed to get someone who knew what they doing and they updated my drivers and the printer is printing normally now but I keep getting error messages and needing to unplug the printer after each use to reset it. I've spent literally hours of my time on the phone and trouble shooting the printer. I'm really not happy with this Pinter at all.

The best desktop printer i have ever used. Prints 8.5 x 11, 8.5 x 14 and 11 x 17, if needed. Automatic duplex printing is another plus. Add on the HP ink program to everything else and its perfection.

Windows 11 does recognize it as a network printer that i can print directly to in any MS office product I'm disappointed that Windows 11 does not recognize it as a network scanner. HP scan is slow loading up, but they did add File Date & Time to Base Name which is good for me. Not impressed with tech support. They seem to be lacking in basic printer knowledge and terminology.

For the cost of this printer - you have to constantly reset the tray SIZE to print the items if they differ from 8-1/2" x 11" - not a great machine.

Printer seems to perform well but I've only had it up and running for a little over two months. I like the software but wish they can improve process by removing a few unnecessary clicks to get things done. I like how the paper tray senses the paper size but I don't like how it asks me each time if the paper size changed... which it should know via sensors. Only issue so far is that the paper handling seems to grab two sheets fairly regularly instead of one sheet at a time. We'll have to see if this improves with different paper or if I will have to call for service. Paper feeding is core to performance. Can you imagine have to reprint a large job because every 10 page is printed across two pages?!

I bought this printer online through the HP website. The person assisting me on the phone listened to all the features I was looking for, including price, and after hearing all my needs, reviewed several models with me, but recommended the HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e Wide-format Printer. I love it! Just what I needed. I keep 11 x 17 paper in the bottom tray and letter-size (8.5 x 11) paper in the top tray. Works out perfectly for my needs. I've been using this printer for about 6 weeks and have not had one issue. The paper trays operate more smoothly than past printers I've used. The display screen is easy to navigate and set up the sizes and orientations needed for each print job. It was a really good price too! Especially for the quality I'm getting. I'm very happy with it and would definitely purchase another one just like this if and when I need another one. I would definitely recommend this.

The HP 9730e all-in-one was very easy to set up. Then I had 2 problems with the functions: 1st, the default for printing was in black and white. It took some time to find how to correct it. The 2nd was more frustrating. My primary reason for purchasing the HP 9730e was for scanning. HP Smart did not have all of the choices as my HP 7740 all-in-one's HPScan has for making changes, such as cropping different sizes of pages in the same scan document. Researching on the HP site, I found, downloaded and installed HP Scan, which is almost identical to my HP 7740 all-in-one's HPScan. I am now delighted with the HP 9730e with one exception. My HP 7740 wide format's maximum document size is 11.5 x 14, and the HP 9730e wide format's maximum document size is 8.5 x 14.

HP Light weight paper doesn't like this printer! I spent more time unjamming both two-sided and single prints. The printer itself I am getting used to and enjoying it now that I am using heavier paper.

We have been using this printer for a month in our office and found some features to be rather frustrating. The lack of a sheet feed means that paper must be removed to print envelopes. Every time something is changed in a tray, a new entry is required on the interface screen rather than auto-detection. Setup is time-consuming and requires multiple approaches. Using tabloid 11x17 paper means that one drawer sticks out from the machine face. Print start is rather delayed. Yes, print quality is good and once-activated print speed is ok. Thinking to return the unit.

This printer is excellent! I'm a loyal HP user because all their printers consistently meet my expectations. The print quality is awesome, and it performs exactly as I need it to. The installation process was also straightforward. It only took about 5 minutes to complete. I highly recommend this printer to everyone.

The printer works well for the person that performed the setup. However, my spouse cannot see the printer model in the print dialog pane and has limited print adjustments. When the user (spouse attempts a print, the only printer option available is "send-to-hp-roam" very unsatisfactory for the user (household member). I've attempted a support chat which was a waste of time. Getting to a live person for help is difficult at best. I suspect there is a disparity between the HP Smart App and the user Apple ID. Hoping for a software fix soon!!

i bought this printer mainly for it's wide format scanning capability. i want to scan in some of my wider format adult coloring books as i like to color them in digitally in corel painter. This is just the ticket. It does it well even for regular size scanning. It does a great job printing as well

Doesn't recognize paper size even when its screen shows the correct size. Sounds like a threshing machine. Eat protection suggested. Can't receive print jobs via HPeprint. Photo quality doesn't match the similar HP8600. YouTube videos are essential even for what were simple operations with our last HP.

Wide format printer with two drawers but would not accept HP Professional bright white paper or HP Photopaper. The second drawer was a joke. It did not work. During setup, there were no paper types available for the trays except plain paper and cheap plain paper. Very disappointing. I talked to HP Support, but they could not help and offered me a different printer. I didn't find the printer useful and had to send it back (which was a big job because it weighed a ton and was huge).

This is an excellent printer for a small home office. It was extremely easy to set up on my mac system and worked flawlessly when it was connected to the computer and wifi. Only time will tell how long the cartridges last. Colour prints are satisfactory for office related printing, would not use this for printing photos though. Highly recommended.

Love the printer especially the fact it does 11 x 17. I had it hooked directly to my PC using the USB printer cable. For one month it worked great, then a couple days ago it would no longer scan documents using HP Smart or HP Scan. Tech support could not get it working, just like the previous model. Finally my IT company switched it over to being a network printer and it is working again.

Great printer, the security is software totally useless and counterproductive, you should be able to have the security package as an option, not forced on you, I do not recommend this printer or other HP printers that have the security software on it.

I was very impressed with the new HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e printer. HP really stepped up its game with this new model. I love being able to print on a variety of paper sizes, from 3x5 to 11x17. The color is amazingly clear, and the printer is easy to use. I would definitely recommend this printer to anyone looking for a high-quality printer.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e printer is a great machine. Setup was very quick, and it was helpful to do most things through the app. I love the touch screen, but it would be helpful to be on something that can tilt so you can see the screen better when standing so you don't have to crouch down. For taking the cardboard pieces out of the trays, I was worried I might break something so would like more direction for taking those out. I tried scanning a document and after a couple times realized that there was foam on the glass so I'm not sure if I missed a step. I love that it has two paper trays and has the capability to print on 11x17 paper which will really help when printing spreadsheets. Printing from my phone is very quick and easy. This printer will be very helpful when working at home.

I am really pleased with my purchase of the HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e. I have needed a new printer for a long time but held of because of the cost of supplies. This printer was very attractive because of the cost-effective auto-ink refills. I love that! The quality of the prints look really clear and saturated with color. I love how sharp the lines are. This is a multi-function printer with several useful features. The first thing I love it the ability to print on 11x17" paper so I can now print posters. I also love how fast the scan and copy functions work. You can either feed the paper through the top feeder or you can open the large flatbed scanner. Something very useful is the ability to print on both sides of the paper automatically without having to manually do it. The setup was very easy and we had it connected to the app in no time.
