Canon quality, without the price!!!

As expected Canon didn't disappoint! I bought this after buying an off-brand lens that didn't impress. The sharpness and clarity are great at any focal length or aperture. I was hesitant with buying a used lens but I am glad I took a chance on Adorama. The lens was in great condition hardly any signs of use. There was a little dust on the inside but I seriously don't regret my purchase. There was a little issue with shipping because I paid for next day and didn't get it the next day. However customer service was great and fixed the issues.

Daily Workhorse

This is an exceptionally versatile lens producing thousands of images as needed from extreme wide angle shots to great close ups. The 18mm wide-end beats other standard zooms by 10mm, important when shooting close to the subjects, like waterfalls or close in to street scenes. It's a lens for those who shoot daily for mixed variety images. Purchased my most recent lens "used" based on Adorama's rating system and again got exactly the product I needed and expected.

Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens

i'm pretty much an amateur user but like to take a lot of pictures. I have a Canon T4i. Have used a number of lenses in the past and find it a hassle to be constantly changing lenses. This gives me about the most versatility I could want. The focus is very fast and quiet. Have taken a few movies and seems to work very well. No problems at all so far. Arrived quickly and price was OK. Accessories work as expected.

Good replacement for kit lens

I'm a casual amateur photographer. I photograph my children, landscapes and animals. The lens is a bit expensive, but it gives me greater range than the kit lens which I need for even casual photography. The lens is light and easy to use. It seems to focus quickly and accurately, but I've not used it indoors or in low light conditions. I've only had this lens a few weeks but I have not found anything I dislike. I gave it four stars simply because of the price. (It cost more than the camera.)

Great Standard use lens

Love this lens, it's a wonderful everyday lens eliminates the need to swap out lens. I bought this one as a used lens, and haven't had any issue with it so far (D quality). The lens arrived in the stated condition. I've only been using it for a week, I replace my 18-55 lens, with this one. I shoot mostly outdoors, gives me everything I need and more out of a lens. Thanks Adorama!

Good all around lens

I was looking to go with one lens on my EOS 40D and this fits the bill. Good range from wide to tele, good price since it was a demo and sharp. Wish it was an L but I guess those are for full frame cameras.

Happy with this lens

This was a used lens. Adorama said it was in perfect condition, and it is. A little heavy, but I knew that and bought it anyway.

Great Lens!

I use this product for portraits as well as everyday photos of my kids. The zoom allows me to to get great photos without being right in people's faces. Love this lens!

"Great all round lens"

I use this lens as my everyday lens. Covers a good range of distances. Works great. Take anywhere, never have a bad shot. Lightweight, you can't go wrong with this lens [...]

Great outdoor lens, marginal indoors

This is lens an excellent alternative kit lens to the lower cost 18-55 zoom and worth the additional dollars. I'm likely to purchase another lens for candid indoor shooting.

Great all-around everyday lens

Basically used as an everyday walk around lens. A jack of all trades if you will. Serves this purpose well so far.

First Impression very good

I got this lens with my new T2i. I am very happy with its very generous focal range 18-135 which covers allot of ground for most domestic use. The IS feature really works and allows (with a little practice) sharp results at speeds of 1/30 or even slower! My main gripe is the sense of "warmness" in the images - as apposed to clear bright found in higher end lenses. As a general purpose lens for an enthusiast - its great.

18-135mm EF-S

This lens stays on my T2i all the time. The inclusion of the 18mm is truly versatile and performs as well as its predecessor -the 28-135. Though not quite the build quality of the old EF 28-135, it's bit lighter. Pictures are relatively sharp. Focus is fast outdoors or in good+ light. Not the best of choices for indoor -average- light without flash. But...then again...not many lenses are. Get yourself a speedlite w/ diffuser for indoors for optimum reults. Definitely a great all around lens for a VERY good price. Performance and functionality is just as good as the old 28-135 and then some with the added range! Thanks canon!

PRIME?

Although this is not a prime lens it is the lens that 'lives' on my camera because of it's range hence it is my prime lens. So far I have only good things to say about it and its performance. Canon should consider the inclusion of the hood (optional hood, added cost) and just raise the price of the lens to include the hood making it a better deal all the way around. Alas, this is not the case.

Good walk-around lens.

Good focal length for every day use.Very fast and accurate auto focus. Nice sharp pictures and color. Not top of the line but not everybody needs to plunk down big bucks for the L lenses.
