Works Great!

I've purchased several used D750 bodies from Adorama over the years for myself and my team. We use them daily and they work great. Tough. Dependable and rarely have issues!

A great camera body.

I bought the D750 just before it was discontinued. It was great deal and had the built in flash unlike the D780. This is a definitely a step up from my old, but competent D70. I have a lot of old NIKKOR glass including the AF NIKKOR 28mm f/1.4E ED and the 200-400 zoom VR lens. On the short side I have the 16mm fish eye. For macro I have the 70-180mm f4.5-5.6 D, the 60mm non D, the 105D, and the venerable 200mm f4.

Outstanding SLR!

Outstanding camera - this unit dies everything that I need. It focuses very quickly and produces great raw photo files with brilliant colors. It works well with all of my legacy Nikon lenses, includes the older D ones.

My 1st full-framed camera

Chose this camera as my 1st full-framed camera. Although my D7000 offers sharper images than this body I still like it because the D750 offers less noise shooting at higher iso's than my d7000. The D750 offers more focus points and I also make great use of the tilting screen. It also has longer battery life so you can shoot all day without having to replace the battery.

GOOD DYNAMIC RANGE AND GOOD LOW LIGHT / HIGH ISO PERFORMANCE

I recently purchased a Nikon D750 full frame DSLR from Adorama. This camera was new, packaged well, and arrived quickly via UPS. I got into photography two years ago by purchasing a Nikon D5600 crop sensor camera. It was a fantastic camera but I was hoping to take my photography to the next level by purchasing a camera with a full frame sensor. My hope was that a full frame camera would perform better in lower light and allow me to take photos of birds at a faster shutter speed and higher ISO without introducing too much noise. I purchased the D750 after reading many online reviews by others who had purchased it. After using it for several weeks I can say this is a great camera. The good reviews by others were accurate. I am very pleased with my purchase.

It stands the test of time!

I?ve had this camera for over 5 years. It is great for wildlife and bird photography. I?ve also used it at an air show. It is a work horse. It has gone to Africa several times so it has been tested there also. I now use it in conjunction with my D810 and Z7.

There are newer cameras but not better cameras.

Purchased this from Adorama three years ago in a refurbished sale. Glad I did but it is now discounted and you better get it as the upgraded models now allow this to go for sale prices and it is better than the D850 or the D780. This camera has both the dedicated U1 and U2 user settings for saving you favorites setting for wild color landscape and candid people photography and a pop-up fill flash. The latest cameras are dropping these two great features. It has the essentials: good frame-per-second, full frame, video capable, plenty of pixels, good sensor, and all the Nikon color understanding. We will not see this combination again and this is the SLR to keep. No stupid touch screen. No need t go to menu to get your various standards and fill flash for the family shots.

A great camera for still photography

The D750 has fantastic image quality, an ideal file size if you don?t need very large format prints, a very good focusing system for photography, a dynamic range among the best, great ergonomics and excellent size and weight if you have to use the camera for a long time. In short, an excellent camera for still photography.

This camera is a workhorse.

Bought this in a hurry when I had my other D750 in the shop. It has worked great for me. I love having two of them as I am a professional photographer. I have two other D610s as well, but the D750 is lighter and does a better job in the dark. Glad I found this one.

I'm glad I chose this one

A great upgrade to my Nikon D7200. A little larger and and heavier, which (for me) makes it easier to handle. Very happy with the results I've obtained so far.

D750 - Great for all proffesional photography.

I shoot 50% weddings & 50% Desert Racing(Ex: Baja 1000). This camera is great for both. The low light capabilities and high iso range make it easy for wedding photography with no flash. Also the speed is great for action shots of race trucks going over 100mph. I like the light weight because at weddings the camera is in my hand for hours, can't miss a shot.

Still Holds It’s Own

There is t much that can be said that already hasn’t been said. Nikon hit a home run with this body and six years later this body still holds its own against the new stuff.

About Nikon D750 24.3 Megapixel FX-Format Digital SLR Camera Body

FEATURED REVIEWS

Truly, an UNBELIEVABLY GREAT full-frame camera

By GoatGuy

The short: what a camera. It has everything that is necessary to take an endless succession of breathtakingly awesome shots. The ONLY limit will be your eye and the lens-range you've invested in. The LONG: Had a D90 (another great camera) for the last 5 years. A workhorse. Shot over 150,000 shots so far on it, and all it has ever needed was a trip to the shop for "un-dusting" of the sensor. What DSLR doesn't at some point? None. Anyway, we invested in FX lenses for the eventual day where the...

Great camera packed with plenty of useful features!

By Entropy

I've owned the D750 for about two weeks now and have taken about 500-600 (mostly test) photos with it. I want to give it a 4.5 but I can't so I'll round up to the 5. I think its a great camera package for the price but there are a couple of that could be much better which I'll explain in this review. A serious tool for serious shooters.

The D750 has a feature set unlike full-frame DSLRs its size. It uses the same autofocus and metering technology as the D4S and the D810—Nikon's powerful 51-point AF system with 15 cross-type sensors and 3D Color Matrix Metering III with a 91,000-pixel RGB sensor. It's fast and responsive; shoot 6.5 fps at full resolution. And it's endlessly versatile; shoot stills in multiple formats, video with enhanced definition, smooth time-lapse sequences up to 9,999 shots in-camera and more—all with stunning sharpness and rich tonality. Open new compositional possibilities with its 3.2-inch 1,229k dot tilting Vari-angle LCD display, or use a compatible smartphone or tablet as a remote monitor for Live View shooting.

Take your passion to the next level.

Like every Nikon full-frame DSLR, the D750 achieves a level of image quality few other manufacturers can match. Its newly designed 24.3MP FX-format CMOS image sensor is paired with EXPEED 4 image processing for fast frame rates, a low noise, wide ISO range of 100 to 12,800 (expandable up to ISO 51,200), Full HD video with enhanced definition and reduced noise at high ISO sensitivities, minimal moiré, jaggies and false colors and a Nikon first—autofocus performance down to -3EV. Paired with the versatile array of full-frame or DX-format NIKKOR lenses, the D750 is capable of telling any story you can imagine.

Cutting edge HD video capabilities.

With professional video capabilities inspired by the D810 and an array of inputs and outputs, the D750 is as well-suited for recording daily life and events as it is for filmmaking and videography. Simultaneously record uncompressed and compressed Full HD 1080 footage at 60/50/30/25/24p. Manually control ISO, shutter speed and aperture while recording—even use Power Aperture control for smooth iris transitions and Auto ISO for smooth exposure transitions. Use Highlight Display with zebra stripes to confirm exposure, apply Flat Picture Control for easier color grading in post and record at low and high angles with the 3.2-inch tilting Vari-angle LCD.

It has RGBW alignment and color balance customization, so it can be matched to an external monitor. Use it to shoot from high and low angles, to spot-select white balance during Live View shooting, to access the intuitively redesigned Info. display or to change settings quickly from the separate Photo Shooting and Movie Shooting menus. Match your view and your vision with the 100% coverage optical viewfinder, which has a bright, clear organic EL display system for making adjustments without taking your eye off the action.

Nimble design.

Nimble design.

Another first for a Nikon full-frame DSLR, the D750 employs a compact, lightweight and slim monocoque body design. The front body and front cover are constructed from carbon-fiber reinforced thermoplastics, while the rear and top covers are magnesium alloy, for a balanced combination of nimbleness and ruggedness. This slim styling and ergonomic layout allows for ample grip space and comfortable handling. And with its energy saving EXPEED 4, you can expect to keep shooting for up to 1,230 shots* and up to 55 minutes of recording time.

The already impressive dynamic range of the D750's image sensor can be enhanced with built-in HDR shooting. Combine multiple exposures into one dramatically rich image in-camera. The Special Effects mode lets you apply creative effects like Selective Color, Color Sketch, Miniature Effect and more in real time to both stills and HD videos.
