About RED Digital Cinema Redcast 4K Module for EPIC DRAGON and SCARLET DRAGON Cameras

The REDCAST Module is a revolutionary workflow solution for EPIC DRAGON and SCARLET DRAGON cameras-combining live HDR-2084, 3D LUT capabilities and 4K live broadcast and streaming all into a single module. Providing four 3G-SDI output connections, the REDCAST Module enables professionals to enhance their workflow with the capability to broadcast or live-stream up to 4K video at 60 frames per second. Output 4K video or monitor four independent 1080p feeds, each with unique LUTs or HDR-specced for the SMPTE 2084, the most robust HDR standard available today.

The REDCAST Module requires a Module Adaptor or +1 Adaptor Module to be connected to the camera BRAIN. Only power/battery modules or the REDMOTE can be attached to the rear of the module. Five 1/4-20 mounting holes are built into the top of the module, allowing for various mechanical peripherals to be attached.

Note

Using a LUT requires that your DSMC is on firmware v6.0.x or later.
