Used Canon PIXMA G620 Wireless MegaTank Photo All-In-One Color Inkjet Printer

The print quality is supreme. Unfortunately, I have never been able to print anything without a series of steps that take anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours. When attempting to print a document, the printer always comes back with on offline message. This will happen with all devices. Sometimes, I am successful by pressing the stop button, shutting the printer off and unplugging it. Then, I have a small chance of it working. If it wasn't past the return time, I would absolutely return this product. I have tried customer support but not been successful. There is no live person to speak with or contact. Canon continuously sends me to the support website which sends me in an endless loop. Canon, if you are reading this, I would be grateful if someone from product support would reach out to me and assist. I am afraid I may need to cut my losses with the money that I sent and move on to a printer that is reliable and has dependable customer support.

This item is OK, great specs, but poorly designed and functional flaw. Most people have to place this device in an alcove of other location that makes access to a "Rear Paper Tray" difficult or impossible w/o moving the printer. This is not good for the longevity of the printer or its alignment of the printer head. This is just plain impractical and stupid design IMHO. Also, the scanner function is "slaved" to the print function. If for any reason the printer has an error (head alignment, low ink, malfunction, etc.) the scanner does not work! I understand you need a scanner to print from an original? BUT, many times I just want to scan a doc and digitally save. Because of this "slaved" logic (illogic) coding, I cannot use this fine scanner with all its high specs if the printer doesn't work!!! ?when I do not need to print! This too is not a good logical feature and just plain stupid design. If it were not for its good specs and excellent photo printing I would have given it a 1-. This "plain Jane" all-in-one lacks good design and practical functionality in many areas. The concept and specs deserve better. Beware before you buy.

I purchased this and initially loved it, but that love quickly faded. Be prepared to clean the INSIDE of the printer CONSTANLY. There is always ink everywhere and within a few months, I had to contact Canon who issued a replacement bc they said it needed service to fix. I'm now having the exact same problem with the replacement, again, months later. That little sponge inside is always completely SOAKED with ink and Canon offers no way to clean or replace it, no amount of blotting gets rid of it, so you'll constantly have ink on your prints and everywhere inside, especially if you do borderless. Why even bother having borderless as an option if it just destroys the printer?! The 2nd one is now at the point where no amount of manually cleaning or running the cycles is getting rid of the lines on prints so $350 and two printers down the drain within a year. Not worth it.

I needed a photo printer to print weekly photos of our first grandbaby. Purchased this printer 3 months ago after researching photo printers for days. Love this printer! Prices for high end photo printers are $800+ and did not want to spend that much. Wanted to stay around $300. Wanted a mega tank with consumer replaceable print heads. Wanted to at least print up to 8x10 photos. Wanted to print direct from any device. The Canon Pixma G620 fit these requirements. The printer was easy to order direct from Canon, easy to set up and worked right out of the box. The Canon photo paper options were competitively priced so ordered glossy 4x6, glossy and matte 5x7 and glossy 8-1/2 x 11 paper. The app on my Google pixel phone works flawlessly. I edit the photos using the editor Google provided with the phone. Use the Canon Print app to print. Super easy. After three months, flawless prints every week. Never had an issue with the printer dropping wifi, like other reviews state. I've not even varied the default color settings as recommended by some professional photographers. I highly recommend this printer for other grandparents, as it is so easy to operate and don't have to refill the ink for a long time. Also recommend the Canon photo paper. Canon has had this printer marked down for quite some time so suspect there is a replacement coming out. Recommend you get one while they are still available!

We needed a new printer as our old printer of a different manufacturer had errors that could not be cleared. This was primarily for my wife. Her friend had excellent results with her color photography (we saw her prints displayed) and they both make cards. I need a printer to copy and or print articles and pamphlets. My biggest issues are that this printer cannot duplicate colors accurately, especially yellow. We sent color samples to her friend and her printer would not accurately duplicate those colors either, getting the same results as us. My other objection is that the little LED screen is so small, .5" x 1.75", and dark that I have to get my eyeball about 4" away from the screen. That design decision is intolerable. Printing text could be darker and faster but this is a photo printer and the slower speed is understandable. Printing duplex entails the printer printing all the odd pages first and then putting them in the document feeder and printing the even numbered pages. Copying duplex entails reinserting the page in the tray to print the other side. It pretty much fits my wife's needs but not mine. I do like the tanks for the colors. Great job! No operating manual was included, well, because it is a couple hundred pages long and they weren't going to pay for that. It is available on the web site.

I love having six big ink tanks, but the lack of Mac driver support is baffling. On a Mac, because Canon does not provide a printer driver, your only option is to let the printer control colors. You cannot use the ICC color profiles provided by the paper manufacturer. So far, this is working OK for me, perhaps because my Benq monitor is factory-certified for color accuracy. But come on, Canon! Provide a print driver for all the photographers who use your printers with Macs!!!!!

I brought this a year ago and now it won't print my color pictures. I have done everything, follow all the intrusctions to make it work it just won't print. I bought ot to make my yearly family calender a gift for my family. Now I have to go buy a new one but not this brand very disappointing for the 300 price I paid.

When I first installed the G620 printer it worked fine but the UI is very small font and difficult to use. After a few weeks I started getting connection errors and it wouldn't print, probably about 1/2 the time. Now it just is offline and I can't get it back on Wi-Fi. Tried troubleshooting tips. I may just throw this out and buy an HP.

I've had this printer for about 6 months, and have printed with it a few dozen times. The most recent time I tried to print, it was in "copy mode" and refused to print. The message that my computer would give me is that the Canon Printer is in error state. I unplugged it overnight - it still started in copy mode. I tried resetting it to factory settings, and now it refuses to connect either via WIFI or even hard-wired with a printer cable. Canon says I need all of the original packaging to return it - of course, after a few months of flawless operation, I recycled the packaging. Now I'll have to recycle the printer, or - worst case, take it to the dump, and shop for a new printer. I'll never buy another HP due to their cartridge policy, and now I'll never buy another Canon.

This is an affordable photo printer for use at home. The quality of photo prints is great, better than any other printer I've owned in the past 7 years. The only features I wish this printer had are the ability to print double-sided. I thought I'd miss having a document feeder, but that has not been the case.

I got this one to replace a G3200 that died. I've been really impressed with the color, what I see on the computer is what I get from the printer. the 3200 I had, both of them would not match the color in the photos, especially red shades. I mostly do wildlife photos and colors have to be right.

I've used couple printers from multiple manufacturer at this price point and hands down this prints the best quality pictures. From plain paper to glossy, this printer just does it best. Scan quality is also comparably top notch. Only downside would be that its the only printer I've used without a document feeder for scan/copy so as a office all-in-on printer, it is tricky to say that its the most convenient. But if you are more towards image printing, this is the printer to go.

So far, so good, with 40 photos printed in 4 X 6 format. Purchased extra printheads and ink. Waste ink diaper was not available. Anywhere. That is not good.

I bought this printer mainly for the cost of ink, very economical. What I didn't expect was the quality of the prints- excellent! Even on plain paper the colors are bright and fresh Only complaint is not printer support for Mac computers

I'm in love with the range of colors offered with this printer! It's actually surprising how much a difference the grey and red adds to my prints. Can't forget about the tank ink system either, this thing lasts a while! The only problem I have while printing is using the Canon print app, which causes strange colors and misaligned prints for whatever reason. The only good thing of the app is using it for adjusting printer settings. Using airprint works perfectly fine for me though.

Returned printer. It does not flip pages for two-sided printing, is very slow and does not print on computer disks. Prints photos well, but not any better than my Pixma 7720.

I bought this a little over a year ago and loved it until the last 3 months where it has become a very expensive paper weight. One of the print heads is not functioning and despite attempts to clean it. Shouldn't be an issue though right because the print heads are replaceable? Wrong. They're never in stock. As in not once in 3 months have I seen the left print head in stock. You can't find them anywhere. Obviously they're in the brand new printers so they exist. Just not for anyone that needs to replace the print heads. Useless.

The G620 does some things GREAT and others are not so great, hence the 3-star rating. First the great: The quality of photographs on high-quality glossy paper is outstanding! Printing photographs from Lightroom using the exact setup I used with digital printing service, the prints came out a bit dark. After very quickly adjusting exposure and tweaking contrast a bit, the pictures were comperable to the digital printing service I use. Regular every-day printing on standard 20# bright white paper was also very good, though slow (but that's why we also have a laser printer). Now for the not-so-great. First, setting up the wireless connection was a colossal pain. Extremely poor user interface that made the process slow and tedious. Thankfully, it only needs to be done once. Printing photographs on high-quality matte paper produced far inferior results. I tried using two different brands of paper, both heavy weight papers. The colors on the print are muted and edges in the photograph are indistinct leading me to wonder about color bleed in the paper (we live in a rather high-humidity environment) - but this is just a guess. While I am disappointed in the matte print quality, the outstanding quality of prints on glossy paper makes the printer worth the purchase for me.

I've owned several phot printers and the G620 is by far the best so far. The print quality is fantastic and I can print an insane amount of 4x6 and 81/2x11 prints for an incredible low cost. I only wish canon had a mega tank printer like this for wide format printing (13x19).

I?m pleased with the quality of documents and photos that are produced. I love the megatank ink capacity. Would be a 5 star rating except for the glitchy installation programs. I?ve given up on the AirPrint feature as it flat out will not work after hours of trying.

Okay everyone i have been researching printers for 2 weeks now and i purchased the Canon Pixma G620 not the G6020 and it is amazing, i put in my heavy cardstock 110lb and no problem and the colors are amazing so vibrant and detailed also the options of different paper you can use. I have been crafting for 20+ years and this is my second canon printer my last one which just died from printhead error was 10 years old and i purchased this one and it is even better. highly recommend.

I wanted to save money on ink and print a lot of stickers. This printer quality is crisp and clean. The setup wasn't complicated as others stated. You go to the ijcanon website and follow the instructions. You add the app on your phone. The only thing I didn't like was not having the option to crop on the scan page. Also, I noticed that it doesn't turn off when not in use. Hopefully the ink lasts for more than a year. I'm happy about this purchase.

The printer is fantastic...when it works. There is some issue or bug with the phone software. It may give the printer false errors. Sometimes it took me 20 minutes. However when there are no software issues. Very clean and quick printing

I didn't have the greatest experience with Canon printers before but decided to give them another shot since there wasn't much else to choose from. I was looking for for a printer to scan photos, touch them up, and then print them for an album. The design is nothing fancy, just to get the job done. The display is sorta hard to read since theres no backlight. I was excited to get one of these newer photo printers with the six colors and I like the mega tank should be nice cost wise, we'll see. I was kinda confused setting it up what software you're supposed to use and evidently you have to go to the canon site and download it, there's no disc packed in. The scanner seems ok, but the printing isn't quite what I expected considering the price. Maybe I have a little more tinking to do.
