I've been using my dream camera, the RZ67 Pro IID, for three straight weeks every single day with an enormous grin on my face. The 110mm f/2.8 standard lens is tack sharp, gives great skin tones and has lots of contrast, just how I like a lens to be. Since this is a huge camera it lives primarily on a tripod, but it's not that bulky as to hinder handheld use at shutter speeds faster than 1/60th. If you've read about this camera before you'll know that the film backs rotate from landscape to portrait orientation without having to move the camera - very practical! The waist level finder's pop-up magnifier is practical, but I often enough pull the whole thing off and use a 10x loupe a la Markus Klinko for more exact focussing. Speaking of focussing, the bellows focussing is smooth as silk, and very exact. I'm looking forward to trying this out with a rented digital back soon!

• The Mamiya RZ67 Pro IID is the natural evolution of the legendary RZ Pro II, the industry standard used by many of today's most renowned photographers and artists because of its large 6 x 7cm ideal format negative size, over four and a half times larger than 35mm. The use of digital backs, such as the Mamiya ZD Back or others, is easy through direct, digital communication with the camera body.
• Also notable are the RZ's ultra-high performance lenses, and multi-format versatility. Distinctive features include a convenient revolving back, bellows focusing, large, bright viewfinder, and extensive system of accessories.
