I bought these in ceiling speakers to add to my basement experience. Now my theatre is all klipsch with 9.2.1. I added 18 of these in ceiling speakers through my basement pushed by Onkyo 7100 with the multi zone capability. Sound incredible.

With integrated whole-house audio systems becoming more popular than ever, Klipsch designed the CDT-5800-C II to meet the market's demand for a high-performance in-ceiling loudspeaker that easily challenges the inherent limitations of fixed locations.
1" Titanium Tweeter
8" Cerametallic Woofer
Horn-loaded technology
Controlled Dispersion Technology (CDT)
Treble and midbass attenuation switches
Low-profile SlimTrim magnetic grille
Updated with a new low-profile design
The Klipsch CDT-5800-C II maintains the core technology use of a premium 1" Titanium compression driver (tweeter) mated to an exclusive Tractrix Horn combined with a large 8" Cerametallic woofer in a 2-way design. Now with a new low-profile, more elegant grille and refinements to both high frequency and low frequency reproduction, it continues as a high-performance choice for everything from 2-channel music playback to full, large room surround sound use.
The update for your eyes: The new SlimTrim grille
With an all new grille, the visible frame size is reduced by 90% and grille depth is reduced by 80% over the previous design, for a more edge-to-edge consistent look that blends in with the wall more attractively. The new aluminum, paintable, magnetic grille attaches tightly and securely with ease to virtually eliminate resonant distortion.
Klipsch exclusive controlled dispersion technology (CDT)
Klipsch horn-loaded technology increases acoustic output while significantly reducing distortion. Proprietary Controlled Dispersion Technology allows for both the symmetrical, 100deg. Tractrix Horn compression driver (tweeter) and woofer to be independently aimed toward the main listening area. The tweeter swivels while the woofer rotates 360deg. and pivots 15deg. in any direction.
The precisely controlled dispersion of the horn-loaded tweeter assures that high frequencies are more effectively directed towards the listening area than typical amiable, broad dispersion, standard dome tweeters. This, combined with the woofer's ability to also direct more narrowly dispersed midbass frequencies, yields overall sound with more lifelike impact, greater detail and better vocal clarity.
Titanium diaphragm compression driver (tweeter) with linear travel suspension (LTS)
Combined with the Tractrix Horn, the 1", solid-formed, very lightweight metallic diaphragm works in conjunction with a precise phasing plug at the horn throat to create a highly efficient driver with excellent transient response and lack of distortion. The new Linear Travel Suspension assures the most precise diaphragm excursion, increasing high-frequency detail and smoothness.
Machine-spun Cerametallic woofer
The solid Aluminum diaphragm, anodized to add stiffness and provide perfect damping, has a new hi-tech look that also delivers increased rigidity for even tighter, more defined bass. The new integrated dust cap further strengthens the cone and helps ventilate the voice coil for increased driver durability.
Premium, high definition network
The perfect blending between drivers for full bandwidth balanced response.
Treble and midbass attenuation switches
Allows reduction of high and/or low frequency output in challenging install applications such as overly reflective rooms or corner placement, allowing a better frequency balance.
Sure-grip mounting dogs
Provide even pressure against drywall for long-term installation reliability.
Compatible with the Klipsch IK-800-C Install Kit
For increased mounting flexibility and pre-install marking during new construction.
Compatible with the Klipsch ME-800-C fire-rated speaker enclosure
For meeting building codes and/or reduction of transferred sound between rooms.
