These are on-ear headphones.  I really wanted to hear Audeze's sound and the price was right to give these a try.  I really liked Audeze's laid back yet resolving sound.  These definitely have their own sound signature and I like it.  Based on this, I searched and found 3D models to mod the headphones to be over ear.  I used TPU as the plastic and the mod pieces came and fit perfectly.  I put on the modder recommended earpads and they are now over-ear.  I am very happy with the end result and even left as on-ear they are great but with the mod I can listen longer and more comfortably.
